Atlanta, GA LTE (Live)

Wow, that's a really fast download speed. I wonder why the upload dropped off so much.

The transmit on a device is already pretty weak...hand placement over the antenna may be able to reduce it enough to slow it down.

From my evolte:

Like the other screenshots I posted in the other thread a few hours ago, it seems like the evolte on average is getting better speeds than the gnex.

It may be faster, but the 4G icon on the GNex is much sexier. :)

LMAO!!!!!!

Oh and I did encounter a few disconnects on the evolte but none on the gnex. Right now it seems like both phones are running fine when streaming though.

If that is the scope of the LTE Connectivity issue, then that doesn't sound like a big deal. Hopefully an OTA will fix it. And that isn't any reason to hold up opening up the LTE network, IMHO.

Yeah, I just went to grab some dinner a few miles away and I still had a 4g signal(full bars). Me and my lady where video chatting over 4g for a good 20 minutes or so with absolutely no issues. Both of us were using evoltes.

The gnex has much faster ping times. The gnex seems to stay in the 40's, while the EvoLTE seems to be all over the place from 30's to 180's.

But, what is a few more milliseconds anyway? :)

Yeah but there's no lte logo so we don't know if they are connecting to wimax 4g or lte 4g

Where is this 4g signal you speaketh of. I passed through Jonesboro this evening and got nothing on my Evo. Are you anywhere near I-75?

If you are familiar with the jonesboro area, do you know where the hooters restaurant is on tara blvd? There is a tower right there about 75 feet away if that. I live about 1000 feet west of the hooters/sprint tower. I noticed guys working there all morning but I didn't have enough time to stop buy and talk to them but I did take a picture though. As I sit here typing this I still have 4g on both my gnex and evolte and my girl is sitting here next to me with 4g on her evolte. If you are in that area try to toggle to cdma then back to lte/cdma. In the second picture, the building you see to the left is the back part of the hooters restaurant, I took the picture from the citgo gasstation thats right next to hooters. Its kind of hard to tell from these two pics but there were 3 guys in hardhats doing something inside one of the cabinets there, this was before I got the lte signal about 10am this morning. This particular site was also schedule to be completed on june 4th.

Whats up bro, just woke up and I still have that 4g signal. Speeds are averaging even better than they were compared to yesterday. If you gonna be there at a certain time just let me know, I don't have anything else to do today.

More pics of my tower. If you look closely there is a guy at the very top of the tower working on something but I couldn't tell exactly what he was doing. I took these about 20 minutes ago.

I had to run to the bank and on the way back the guys where still there working on the tower not to mention that my lte signal came back. Two where on the top of the tower and the third was working on one of the cabinets, so I decided to stop by for a few. When I asked him if he was working on sprint lte upgrades he was kinda surprised that I knew that but he seemed like a pretty cool guy when I was telling him about s4gru.com. He didn't think the tower was actually live to where anyone could connect to it but I showed him my evo and ran a few tests for him and he was impressed with the speeds. I did ask him if once they were through would the site remain live and he said he wasn't sure want sprint was planning on doing but he said he didn't think it would remain live.
