  1. Lost LTE service by the Forum on Six Forks road near Strickland Rd. Was getting Full bars a couple weeks ago but now only connects to 3G.
  2. I was thinking the same thing. My thoughts is that they might want to use this to allow hand off of WiFi to Cellular.
  3. Being that their end game is VoLTE and it won't really matter that it's a single cell path. With Sprint starting to support WiFi calling I'd really like to see support for multipath TCP to allow handoff from WiFi to Cellular.
  4. We just had a lot more acceptances of 3G upgrades on existing 4G towers and Legacy towers in Raleigh. Looks like they are trying to resolve the circuit switch fallback issue by getting all the 3G upgrades out of the way. Anyone have a Nexus 5 or other triband device that is picking up 4G now?
  5. It wasn't a very technical notice. Just an email stating that these devices will now work in areas where 4G is available. That could just mean that they have upgraded the switch to support circuit switched fallback. I have my doubts that they have corrected the disparity between the 3G and 4G build out in such a short time but I am hopeful.
  6. I got a notice that the eCSFB LTE connectivity issue that has been plaguing the Nexus 5 and related devices has been resolved in this market. Can anyone confirm?
  7. I'd love for that to be the case but I fear that a lot of physical equipment still needs to be replaced. Currently the NC complete map shows 4G upgrades only for the majority of Raleigh. I would stay with a SVLTE device for the time being.
  8. It's going to be a while. The Raleigh market has quite a bit of old Motorola equipment, ALL of which needs to be replaced. As far as I can tell before the know LTE/ecfsb issue surfaced they have been primarily focusing on 4G upgrades and leaving 3G for later. All future work will do simulataneous 3G/4G upgrades. Bottom line I'm going to hold off on buying my nexus 5 for a few months until the dust settles.
  9. This seems to make the lack of a separate data path for 3G a much larger concern. Is it too much to hope that manufators could yet fix this by adding dual path RF support for their triband phones?
  10. Yep at least 3 towers in Wake Forest have started upgrades to Network Vision. Starting on 11/5 Tower RA03XC096 & RA54XC250 & RA54XC252 have started Network Vision Updates. These upgrades have been causing many service issues in the Wake Forest area such as drops and blocks while the work is being completed. I'm glad they're finally up here but they really can't finish soon enough with the service disruptions that they are causing.
  11. I was wondering about that. Never saw an FCC breakdown any chance of this still coming out or did it just get skipped over?
  12. Has anyone heard of a timeframe for converting WiMax Sites to TD-LTE in the Raleigh area?
  13. hehe, No. Every single one of our stores that I've been to has the worst service I've seen. It's embarasing really and Network vision can't move fast enough for me.
  14. . This is what I'm curious about. I'm guessing it would go away. I can't see how they could justify you having to continue to pay for a device that you were required to trade in. I'll get clarification on the marrow.
