  1. Pixel 2 by HTC User Thread

Added additional specs to the OP. - - - - - So far, so good with this Pixel 2. Screen still looks great. I never did get any of the clicking or whining during phone calls that some were experiencing. Phone calls sound great. Really great. Loud speakers don't sound as good as I thought they might. Kind of tin-like when you really crank up the volume. I seem to always get a data link where ever I go. Supports all the USCC LTE bands and I've had no trouble roaming (pseudo natively) in USCC territory in rural Kansas and Nebraska. Hotspot works very well. Battery lasts FOREVER w/o the bloat that often comes with non-nexus / non-pixel Android devices ... that's my favorite part. Camera is pretty fantastic. I've used the "portrait" mode on a number of occasions and receive a lot of complements on the photos. I only sort of miss the audio jack. It does come with a USB-C to 3.5mm jack dongle in the box, so I carry that around with me when I need it and get by just fine. I miss the cool factor of the wireless charging my S7 had. But really don't need it as long as this battery is lasting. I do miss the Samsung Pay tech where you can use your phone to pay at most retailers that don't support NFC mobile payments. But none of those things I miss would dissuade me from making this purchase again. After 3 months, still very happy with my choice.

    Pro version or free version?
  3. Just because you "can" do something doesn't mean you should. A company statement is not the same as comments from a public figure within an organization.

    No issues here.

Android 8.1 is available for download and sideload for Pixel devices. OTA distribution should start soon.

My only block came when I made a trip through an experiment with the Pro version of Tapatalk installed. Back to the free version and no more issues for me.

Google Pixel 2 by HTC Released fall 2017 SIM part number - SIMGLW416Q SCP always displays both 1xRTT and LTE metrics.

I've been doing well without the Pro version and just the free version installed with VIP status. So don't you jinx me!

I got my first cloudfront block last night. I had used the newer, free version for a long time with no problems. Last night I decided to do two things. First, I installed the old Pro version of Tapatalk. Second, I asked Tapatalk for VIP status since I had previously purchased Pro, and they gave it to me. At some point in all that playing around I got blocked. First time ever. I have uninstalled the older Pro version and am now using the new version again (but now with VIP status). We'll see how this goes.

I'm using the free version. I had purchased the Pro version a long time ago. For some reason or other I decided to grab the free version. I think there was a feature at some point that the free version was getting before the Pro version and so switched. They say you can ask for 'VIP status' in the free version if you purchased the Pro in past. I haven't done that yet.

Your screen shot shows you're using 7.1.1 of TapaTalk. Is that right? I have been running 7.1.6 on my Galaxy S7 as well as my Pixel 2.

I still haven't ever been blocked. I use Tapatalk from several IP addresses using WiFi and LTE. Are any of you guys that are getting blocked using ad blockers of any kind?

Camera lenses being susceptible to cracking was one of the issues I've seen and heard, actually.
  14. iPhone 7/7 Plus User's Thread

Is there an indicator in iOS 11 somewhere that would tell me when a call is connected with HAD Voice? Android phones have a little HD icon on the call screen. Is there something like that for iOS 11?

I'm using free Tapatalk (latest from Play Store) on Android 8.0 and another device on Android 7.0 and have never seen this issue. I also access from Chrome on Windows 7 from a different IP periodically (work PC), but mostly Tapatalk from at least 3 different IPs on two devices.
