  1. I flashed the 3.16 firmware with the radios. Would that have caused anything? And I've also flashed an ruu to go back to stock
  2. I'm aware, but my issue doesn't have to do with the evo's subpar radio performance. I'm having an issue where the phone won't even search for an lte signal. There are three other evo's in my household, and while every single one of them will pick up a signal, mine will not. It used to pick up a signal just fine, but now something is broken.
  3. I've been in many area where the lte signal is very strong, and other sprint lte devices will connect, and mine won't. I think something's borked in the process of discovering lte. I signed up for insurance, and I think I'm gonna go back to stock and take it in for repair. That's for the help!
  4. Ok so I switched it over to lte only mode and I was able to pick up a signal. But when I switched back to regular mode, it still only connects to 3G. And thanks so much for the help BTW!
  5. yeah it's on CDMA/LTE mode. I don't think it's hardware related, I think it's software. So is open enrollment where I can go to a sprint store and put tep on a used device?
  6. Hi there! I live in the sf bay market. My town has LTE throughout, however, after flashing a few custom roms, my 4G no longer works. I flashed cyanogenmod, and a few sense roms. I do not know when my 4G stopped working, because when they were flashed, I was not in an lte area. I have compared my phone to other evo lte's and while they get 4G, I remain on 3G. I have reflashed radios, wiped data, and flashed an ruu. Is there anyway to reset all network settings back to stock? I bought the phone off eBay so I cannot take my phone in for repair at a sprint store. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  7. Yea, that's what I thought haha. Definitely something sprint representatives would say. That's likely it, there most definitely has been a lot of activity in the Bay Area lately.
  8. I'm aware. In the second post of this thread, he mentioned that sprint claimed there was an isolated, yet nationwide outage.
  9. I'm having a lot of trouble with lte and 3G in the Bay Area the past few days....did they say anything more specific other than a nationwide outage?
  10. LTE coverage is now live on sprints coverage maps for the north bay, although they are really inaccurate
  11. LTE is now live all throughout downtown San Rafael on 4th street, and onto the outskirts of San anselmo. I would assume that several sites have recently gone live around San Rafael and San anselmo.
  12. Got a quick question about permitting for cell sites for Robert or anyone else. Being that the Bay Area is very stingy on giving permits on cell towers, namely Marin county, can a city deny a cell site for lte? If not, can some cities take longer to approve cites than others?
  13. This ^^^. The galaxy nexus is horrible with 3g/1x. Which also sucks battery like crazy, while searching for a better signal. However, when going into areas that have solid 3G coverage, the phone preform similarly to other sprint phones. Just beware if you're using it in a rural area.
  14. I have a quick question regarding ehrpd rollout. In the Bay Area, lte has been more or less been put on at least one tower in every area. However, ehrpd seems to not be rolled out in much of the Bay Area. I have read that ehrpd is usually rolled out entirely before lte work even begins. Can anyone explain this?
