The newer gen AEHC's Nokia N41 M-MIMO units will be larger in dimensions than the current ones (AAHF, AEJH etc) by about a feet in length (~2' vs ~3') so it'll be more rectangular than a square like the current ones.

Thanks, Its different than what they normally use here, but it didn't look new either so I wasn't sure.
Yeah it really, really depends on the regional RF team.
Up in the west coast, ATT and VZW prefers all RRUS + Passive antenna builds. In other regions they'll toss in some Ericsson AIR or even other vendor antenna integrated w/ radio units.

Found this today on a Verizon site while looking for something else. Is this a mid-band Massive MIMO unit?
No.
That's just one of the standard ERICSON airs with passive antenna ports available. Same deal type of equipment tmobile uses.
Vzw and ATT use Ericsson airs in some region and not in others. It really depends.

Finally got the update on my S20+ tonight in Maine. Tmobile across the board now, and i now have LTE in my house WITH VoLTE. No 5G though, yet. Either way, these are things sprint just couldnt make happen after all these years and tmobile changed it in a matter of a few seconds. Goodnight sweet prince. Its been real.
It's not as if Sprint engineers themselves didn't want to get things done. Top down decisions were made which basically precluded sprint employees from doing anything useful to improve the situation of the network. It was a multi year process but Son got what he wanted in the end after the "merger" was rejected the first time around.
Not that it matters anymore. It's one for the history books.
We'll just have to wait and see what New TM does with all the former Sprint assets they acquired.

Not supported. Is a software update required for older phones to activate, such as HTC U11? There is no toggle in the settings that I can see.
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/services/volte.html
See list of devices.
If you're lucky and your old device gets sent to tmobile and they enable it on it then yes. On the old sprint network it's a no.

Good to hear they've deployed it down yonder! Still a smattering of just a handful of M-mimo units up here in sac. Mostly clear sites getting triband upgrades are still retaining the Nokia mini macs or getting 8t8r 2.5 rather than M-mimo which they've been permitted to do so.The Sprint tower in Patterson at 261 Orange Ave. was just upgraded to 5G on Friday (Feb 7). However, it isn't active yet. I talked to Sprint Technical Support and they said that it would be activated in the next couple of days. My Sprint HTC 5G hubs are ready and willing. I'll check back with them next weekend if it doesn't flip over.
According to them, in order to see 5G the Profile on my devices need to be updated, then a reboot, then it is supposed to present me with a choice. We'll see....

Do you know if a Sprint LG G2 would work? I dont think those have any SIMs.
The G2 UICC is integrated onto the motherboard iirc. When my father had it when it was first released (we got the Nexus 5, S4T, G2 as our first triband phones!) there was only the microSD slot.

Plug into ethernet port then put GPS facing up and power it on. Then you just need to wait for it to sync up and that's it.So I moved buildings at work. I have little signal at my new desk. I was qualified for a MB or Airwave. I picked the Airwave.
Is it mostly a plug n play device? Or more involved to get it up and working?

Standalone carrier is always denoted an A.What's 41A vs 41B vs 41C vs 41D ?
41C is 2x contiguous CA
41D is 3x contiguous CA
Example. 41A + 41D is 1 non contig + 3 contiguous carriers.

"yes" [emoji6]What constitutes a business customer? Would an HOA which would want one to cover basement of thousands of residents constitute as a "business customer"?

Magic Box gold is the highest tier magic box which is not readily offered to non business customers.Popping back into this thread quick, read back a few pages but....... Is the "Magic Box Gold" still the newest Magic Box? I'm heading home this weekend and want to make sure I update anything necessary for them then.
Thanks guys!
The Magic Box silver and Gen1/2s are their main offerings.

Please clarify that below is correct, the way I understand it....
1. The Pixel 4 is capable of the exact upload speeds as the screenshot I posted?
2. It won't happen however until Sprint "flips the switch" to enable it, network side?
3. The way he is getting the speeds now is he can manually enable it on his Samsung device, but Pixel devices don't have the menu to do it. Thus, have to wait for Sprint do it network-side.
4. Is there a marketing term for this, like 5G, Sprint Speed, etc?
5. This is not technically Upload Carrier Aggregation?????
1) If it's operating in B25 as the PCC for DL/UL then potentially.
2) Correct
3) Correct. Sprint needs to do it network side and push the config profile to the device.
4) No.
5) Correct. It's B25 as the primary component carrier which is providing download and upload operations with B41 carriers aggregated for additional downlink capacity.

I won't pretend and say I know what that is. Is the Pixel 2, 3, or 4 capable of this?
If not, which devices are?
3,3a,4 has it though capabilities depends on device. Josh posted the ones for the 4 above.
The 3 and 3A has similar capabilities though the cheaper 3a, because of google reasons, have better combination support than the flagship 3.

So, you're saying this is 2x B41 CA?
Negative.
That is FDD-TDD DL CA utilizing a 10 MHz B25 carrier as PCC for DL /UL with 20 MHz B41 aggregated on the downlink.

So 2x B41 is the only Sprint upload CA variation possible?
For currently available smartphone devices; that is right.

LoL he just gonna say no or band 41. Instead of sending you to some clunky FCC web interface here is a list of some FCC certified FDD and TDD combos for domestic;
and international certified use.
On an X20 modem.
Cut the snappiness. There's no need for that here.
4 hours ago, Thomas L. said:Do you know where I can find a list of bands that THEORETICALLY can support upload carrier aggregation? I don't know why it seems SO DIFFICULT to find that list - Thank you!
All CA combo's are certified through 3GPP and is available through their release documents.
Here is one I can find immediately: https://www.3gpp.org/DynaReport/SpecVsWi--36101.htmIt's spread throughout a ton of their release documents and can be hard to pin down at times.
A useful site I reference a lot is this: http://niviuk.free.fr/lte_ca_band.php
It aggregates all the CA combinations (UL / DL) and has it in an easily available format for us to peruse.

Yes they absolutely do make combos on other devices though.
From the Telit LM960 AT! command guide page 253/256 with the AT&T firmware equipped;
2ULCA: 2A-12A, 2A-5A, 4A-12A, 5B
Pretty sure those are all FDD bands sir. This is the SDx20 which is pretty common now in many handsets and routers. There is a minimum one of these in every police cruiser in my county on Firstnet.
This is just on the first batch model. I expect the further United States certified model A18 to incorporate band 14/71 in the upload CA combos as well now that firmware is available for all carriers. The Five Gee capable FN980 will also allow band 14 HPUE with the newest amplifier.
Any FCC links to smartphone device(s) (not tablet / PCIe chips) with said combinations certified?

-
No absolutely not.
Devices support B41+41 on UL CA. Sometimes we see B7+B7 (for canucks).
Rarely do we see FDD UL CA certified which is definitely not in use and is usually something obscure like B5+B5.

Signalcheck lite is a legacy app with the accompanying legacy code at this point so bugs like what you experience are patched in the Pro version but not the lite version which hasn't been updated on a while.Signal Check Pro is working fine on my Pixel 3a, but on my Wife's Pixel 3XL (on Android 10) Signal Check Lite crashes as soon as it is launched, even after a fresh install from the play store. Are there any known incompatibilities with the Pixel 3 XL, Android 10, and Signal Check Lite?
Mike is working to replace completely merge it into SCP Pro or another combination but it's a TBD.
