  1. Must live close to the tower Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Comparing networks can be a very complex thing to do since a lot depends on the device you want to use. Does the device carry all of the bands each carrier has? For instance the IPhone 6 and 6 plus carry all of Sprints bands. For t-mobile, the IPhones do not have their 700a band. This may be irrelevant in the Chicago area, but if you leave the metro area, you need a phone with 700a if you have tmobile. As for the Samsung devices, more of them have the 700a band radio. Being both a former sprint and current TMobile customer, I can say that when I first got TMobile around a year ago, it was far ahead of Sprint, but now and going into the future, low spectrum problems will cost TMobile customers in the Chicagoland area Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Wow 60hz! That's very fast. I am a currently a Tmobile customer who is waiting for sprint to 100% complete their upgrades. I know here in Chicago T-Mobile is shy on spectrum so a switch is probably in the plans for me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. What will LTE Advanced even mean for Sprint? Can all 3 bands be aggregated? Or only bands 25 and 26? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. As long as there is wifi, there is calling. T-Mobile uses both VOIP and VoLTE. And I have unlimited data on T-Mobile. Don't get me wrong, sprint is coming along, but at the end of the day for me the 30 less per month with 2 lines is well worth it. If I lived on the outskirts of coverage, I'd think about it. 6. As sad as it was to do, with pressure from my girlfriend, we both switched over to T-Mobile. The speeds on T-Mobile are much faster even during peak hours. I tried to tell her that if she had a spark device, the speed difference wouldn't be that much, but $30 off my bill is great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Lately in the last couple weeks I've seen a vast improvement in the closest tower to my girlfriends house. She lives in palos heights and the lte download speeds on band 25 went from 2-4 Mbps during the day to over 10 Mbps at times. What could account for this? More users with spark devices, an upgraded cell tower, or me upgrading my iPhone 5c to the latest software. Thanks for the input guys. And BTW I believe the closest tower that I connect to is at the palos heights police department Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I do not go downtown very often, but no not recently. But I'm sure the b26 will be up and running soon. So I was curious, what spectrum did sprint get in the chicago market from us cellular? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I've noticed a big difference. I have an iPhone 5c and since band 26 has been activated it's been amazing. I see spark as being a success in the chicago market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. 127th and Kedzie tower in Blue Island/Alsip Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Band 26 lte Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have an iPhone 5c which has band 26, but I guess that isn't up in that location. I do however connect to it on occasion near my home. The only issue I have with it, is it hands off to 3G too quickly even when the connection is stable. Seems like the 3G is a higher priority than band 26 LTE on the iPhones Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. When you're in US Cellular Field, the network is horrible, but my friend with Verizon had no problems. Funny thing was, I bet there were more people there that had verizon phones than those who had Sprint phones Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. So why not have people with iPhones 5-5s use band 26 as top priority, those with triband phones use 41, and those with others use 25 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. So if the network is congested. It doesn't matter what band you're using, your phone will slow down. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Do all bands have their own backhaul, or do say bands 25,26, and 41 all use the same backhaul from the same tower? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. No Blue Island/Alsip Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. In my area, the south chicago suburbs, I've been finally getting some band 26. I have an iPhone 5c so I know there will be no band 41 for me. I was just wondering if the band 26 in all areas is 5x5? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
