  1. No way. Loving mine so far. Can't imagine returning it for something else and not feeling like I took a big step backwards.
  2. Alright, I've been using the phone for three + days, and this morning it already received an Android update. Anyone know what this might be?
  3. That is what I believe I had read, and was told at a Sprint store. That's why I questioned the phone CSR, and she told me if the tv doesn't show up, go to the website. I believe she told me the process involves taking a picture of the packaging showing the phone's code numbers. Since registering online sounds more inconvenient than just receiving the tv with the phone, I fully expected having to register online. Now, for Google Home, the CSR told me that I would have to register online, no doubt, but at a different website than for the t.v.
  4. Just saw an email that I am receiving my G6 tomorrow, so I'm kinda excited about that. My G2 really is ready for the old phone's home. What I don't understand is why the customer service rep I spoke to when ordering my phone told me that the television would ship with the phone. "Are you sure about that?", I asked. "It should, but if it doesn't, go to (such and such) site...". My scheduled delivery is reported to weigh 1.1 lbs. I think that confirms the t.v. isn't coming along for the ride. Why would CS, unsolicited, give that information? I thought it was funny.
  5. I've read all kinds of blurbs stating a U.S. release of April 7th. I've seen nothing confirmed for Sprint though, except "coming soon".
  6. So, does anyone have an idea when we will be able to get our hands on this device?
  7. Perhaps they can. Either way, should OEM's stop developing or incorporating new technologies in their new devices to avoid rendering the perception of their older devices obsolete?

The Spark OTA was similar. Light reporting of updates initially, then practically nothing for a week. After that, the floodgates opened.

    LG G2 Users Thread!

I haven't been around here in a while. Been enjoying my G2 this summer. I have read something dated 8/22 that the G2 is supposedly going to receive Android L at some point in the future and, perhaps even more interesting, an update to the G3's UI. Then I read later, dated 8/24, that it was "confirmed" that the G2 will NOT be receiving a G3 UI update. Does anyone have new information to clear up the previous, contradictory rumors?

The blue script font is kind of a pain to read. Are you actively choosing this font? Because it's kind of annoying. EDIT: When I quote it, it looks normal (but still blue).

One reboot after installation did the trick for me. (Never messed with the bands prior to ota)

Sorry, meant to edit that. You already answered in a previous post. Thx.

No, that's not possible. You were just being impatient. The update has been rolling steady since 1/27 but the past 5 days it was just going to people who never use the internet. Only last night did it cycle back to people who post on online forums. EDIT: Answered above.

We open ourselves up to ridicule for saying this sort of thing, but it's true, using feedback from various web sites, the update has apparently stopped, or paused, rolling out. It's not like there are several million Sprint G2's out there to update. I think what many people are finding irksome is that they bought what was touted as Sprint's first tri-band phone, waited months after the other carriers released it and three months after that, are still not able to enjoy the benefits of the tri-band network, particularly those in "Spark" markets. At this rate, we may get KitKat before Spark - or, should we expect the same laborious rollout for 4.4 as well? Fortunately, the G2 is such a nice device out of the box as it is.

Really? That's great - thanks for the info!
