  1. Nice! I'm on day two with the Note 5, so far in my limited travel to work and around at lunch the device has been on B41 almost the entire time. In the past with other devices this wasn't the case. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  2. RF wise band 41 is doing better on this device by a few db better than my S6, M9, LG Flex, or LG G3. Strongest signal and about double the speeds I normal get inside at home. I'll need to do some more testing, but so far a positive surprise! Anyone else notice anything about b41 performance good or bad? Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  3. From what I've seen so far it's pretty bad compared to my G3 and Flex 2 and a smudge worse than my M8. Several dbm lower on rx band 25 and 41.
  4. Picked up band 26 LTE (800mhz) on my LG G3 briefly tonight around 1:30am. First time I've noticed that in this market, hope it wasn't a glitch!

    LG G3

I really don't have much to add to this thread at this point, I had a chance to play with the G3 yesterday at work for a bit, and tested B41 on it, most phones there lock down to it even though the signal averages about -110 db in most locations With the G3 next to my HTC M8, it was picking up B41 about 5db better or more. I moved the phones around a lot and swapped positions and it seemed to remain that way at my desk over a extended period of time. Speed tests on the G3 were always several megs faster, I guess to the better signal it was pulling. The upload speed especially was more than double. Later on I walked around with both, to a area that is very very weak for B41, and both the M8 and G3 seemed to be about the same at that point. Regardless I was impressed enough with the G3 to order one to swap back and forth with my M8. I miss a phone with removable batteries.
  6. Good to know, I've got one shipping in this week and look forward to testing it out vs my M7. My house sits in between two Sprint towers that are less than a mile apart. One of them officially doesn't cover my place with it's sectors due to the tilt of the antenna, but my device pulls a week LTE signal off it in the living room in a few places and jumps between to the two sites a lot. I look forward to seeing what the M8 will do, or if it will latch on to a converted Clear Spark site, as we have about 50 of those running in the area now.
  7. I find the reports of signal strength being less than the Galaxy phones disappointing. I'd hoped HTC would have had better performance this time around. Glad it's at least better than the m7. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
  8. Update posted today to help with network acquisition. 1.54.651.8 Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
  9. That would make sense if 41 worked down to that level, which if accurate is a insane noise noise floor level for even a real radio much less a cellphone. 41 has much more bandwidth and less congestion. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
  10. Picking up 800mhz this morning in Greensboro, at my home, off towers at Westover and Wendover, and battleground and Brian Blvd. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
  11. I was going to say the same thing last night! lte @ 1900 mhz will be wrapped up soon in this market which is pretty amazing considering when it started. Band 41 (Spark) seems to be back on around the High Point rd area in Greensboro. It's been off for a couple weeks. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  12. You nailed it, one tower is directly behind Herbies on Battleground, the other is right of Westover Terrace behind the fire station, both are lit with LTE now. Nice to see the ruu heads on those towers. There's another Sprint tower near the water treatment plant on battleground near downtown.. when that comes online with lte it will fill in that small gap nicely between the Westover Terrace tower and the one downtown on the gov building on elm. From what I hear gso should be finished up soon with the 1900mhz lte updates. Then of course 800mhz voice and lte still be coming, and the 2.5ghz Spark stuffs. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  13. Nothing tonight. Go figure. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
  14. I mapped that when the first tower in Greensboro popped up on West Market St, and it's panels where not angled down yet. At the time I didn't realize that. It's been a long time since I've spotted LTE in this area.
  15. Picked up LTE Wendover and Westover terrace tonight with a great signal that died as soon as I pulled down the street my home is on. Close... So close. Lots of updates for LTE posted today! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
