  1. Hmm, my conversation with sales was very misleading... the was no mention of having to pay full price for all the lines I moved in for the first month. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  2. same here... I called about it and was told not to worry. The discount will be billed at the correct rate.
  3. You can start a Framily by calling the Sprint support number. I find that working with the Sprint call centers usually goes more smoothly than going to a store. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  4. I switched to the Framily plan on Friday. I was told that existing Sprint customers lines that are eligible for upgrades can join a Framily. Existing Sprint lines under contract can join...but they will pay the subsidy fee (the fee is only waived for the lines that are merged in by the original Framily creator). I have not put the advice into practice yet... so I can't be certain it was correct yet. I should know within a day or two. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  5. The economics of the Framily plan depend entirely on how expensive the unsubsidized phones are. The one year old Galaxy S4 is listed on the Sprint site for $599. Amazon (and Sprint) is selling the he subsidised G4 for $49. Given those numbers the monthly Family plan subsidy is $23 per month. Swapping unlimited data for the 1gb cap and losing the subsidy kills the deal... By my calculations, after buying the overpriced $600 phones the cost of my 4 line EFP plan is the same (per line) as a 7 user Framily plan... and replaces unlimited data with 1GB caps. The deal gets better if Sprint were to sell one year old phones for a more reasonable $400-$500 Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  6. 1x800 is voice only. 800 LTE is a was away yet. I suspect Sprint will wait until a significant number of tri band phones are on the street. In the meantime many existing customers will benefit from the 1x800 voice. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  7. I was driving around the east side mapping with Sensorly this afternoon. Overall it's a huge improvement. The only problem was that there were gaps in the coverage that kept forcing my G3 to 3G. Something seems to be wrong with the east side Milwaukee st tower. It's broadcasting 4G but the speeds are old school Sprint 3G speeds (less than .1 mbps). Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  8. The towers on the East and SE sides of Madison are broadcasting 1x800 and LTE. I got ~20mbps outside my office... and lost the LTE signal when I walked in.. Looking forward to 800LTE. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  9. Looking at the number of unaccepted towers with NV antennas on them in Madison, I wouldn't be surprised if the city about to be launched is Madison... happy thoughts Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  10. Madison CtyRd AB Tower (*clip*) McFarland Bocce Park (*clip*)
  11. A quick update about the Madison east side towers. The tower by the south town Wal-Mart does not have any NV antennas yet. The McFarland, Monona water tower and Buckeye rd towers all have NV antennas mounted. I took pictures... I'll try to get them uploaded this evening Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  12. The Johnson's Creek tower by the outlet mall is now transmitting a 4G signal. It's been shown as 3G complete for ages... not the greatest speeds though. On the south side of the mall, closest to the tower,I was getting ~2mbs. Next to the water tower I got ~15mbps Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  13. The NV upgraded sites map works pretty well in Chrome browser on the S3. The 'All NV Sites map' does not work well. Perhaps the all sites map was created with an old maps api? In regards to starring towers, the current maps app seems to have removed the ability to star exact GPS coordinates. It reverts to the closest street address. I reverted to the G3 factory Maps app and it was able to star the exact position... it was also way more convenient to star the address in the old Maps version. The more I use the latest version of Maps the more I hate it. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  14. Does anyone have a good way of viewing the NV Sites maps on mobile devices? I'm thinking about going on a tower hunt and it would be very convenient to use those maps on the run... as it is, getting to those maps on a phone is very clunky. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
