  1. Since updating to the iOS Public Beta my iPhone 6 is having some network connection issues relating to data and calling ability. I seemed to stay on LTE more regularly on 8.4. Also, every third or so call I make doesn't ring and I can't hear the person on the other end of the call if they pick up. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same or similar problems. I've restored my phone twice and the problems persist. TIA
  2. For those jailbroken, I'm curious if anyone has seen or tried the Carrier Update Hacks released the other day. Here is the thread from the Reddit Jailbreak subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/2m82mq/carrier_update_hacks_now_available_for_beta/ I'm fairly dubious of anything that doesn't come from s4gru, but interested if anyone knows more about these. TIA
  3. I had a 5s and now a 6. I actually think Touch ID is faster and more accurate. From my experience, it used to take just a bit too long to work on the 5s.
  4. I realize this is specifically for China Mobile's TDD-LTE network, but hopefully they be using the same radios and thus triband a reality. http://9to5mac.com/2013/09/03/apple-sends-out-invites-to-chinese-media-for-special-sept-11-event-fueling-china-mobile-iphone-launch-rumors/#more-285597 .
  5. Just moved into the Spokane area from Utah. The deployment is definitely active around the Costco on Sprague off of I-90. Had about 8 dropped calls in the space of a 5 minute conversation. Other than some of that activity, I only get about 12 kilobytes at my new place, so I'm hoping for continued deployment.
  6. Checked out quite a few spots around Provo/Orem/AF today. The boom lift hasn't moved at all from the Provo site on University Ave by Will's Pit Stop. Wondering if they've completed the fiber and moved on to complete a cluster before they do panel work. I also stopped by the site in Orem on 800 North by Cascade golf course. A Syringa truck was there and a worker wiring a cabinet, no panel work yet. I also stopped by the site by East Lawn cemetery in Provo. It's on a hill and pretty remote so I won't be surprised at all if they use microwave to that site. I also ran by a few sites in AF with my buddy who works at the ISP there. They've made some good progress there and have a deadline in about two months to complete the fiber runs. Really hoping to see some panels up in the next two weeks before I move to Spokane--which seems to have about the same degree of progress.
  7. I cited the site name/number last night but it looks to have disappeared. The site is a stealth tree tower at the intersection of University Ave and 3700 North.
  8. Site in Provo looks to be done soon. Fiber was completed last week and now a local crew as a boom lift onsite to finish up the panel work. Will update on progress and hopefully get some photos over the next few days.
  9. Dish's national security lobbying may actually be effective: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323336104578499651225020178.html#articleTabs%3Darticle
  10. Don't even think it will come to that. Even if the votes fails now, in October Sprint (Softbank maybe?) can do whatever they want since Time Warner, Intel, and others have agreed to sell their shares at $2.97. Masayoshi Son said more or less this in his press conference in Japan before he came over to the US to meet with Sprint shareholders.

  12. Just heard from a friend who works for a local ISP in Utah county that Sprint will be finished with fiber/backhaul updates in this specific area by May. Here's to hoping that NV updates for all of SLC/Provo are on the same schedule.
