  1. I wouldn't call it a flop. Having 70MHz sold is about what was expected as far as I can remember. There is still a need for low band spectrum for coverage.
  2. It looks like the requirements for this round are met https://auctiondata.fcc.gov/public/projects/1000
  3. It hasn't finished yet and I'm pretty sure that article is just wrong. The auction doesn't need almost $40 billion to finish and of course the TV station rep isn't happy that the stations will be getting less than the $86.4 billion finish would have brought.
  4. I've been using this for about a month as my main internet connection. I've mostly used the Franklin R850 it came with and the signal strength is pretty low but I get about 8Mbps down 2Mbps up most of the time. It also supports IPv6, which is useful for me. I used it for a little while in a Mofi 4500 SIM4 V2 and it seemed to work except I didn't get IPv6 addresses and I was not sure if Sprint would cancel the line for using an unapproved device, so I put it back in the R850. The Mofi was definitely faster and had better signal strength and since it has external antennas I could probably increase that significantly with some better antennas.
  5. I guess my question is about how Sprint will know what the data is. If you're receiving data over a TLS encrypted connection, how does Sprint decide that it's video and should be throttled to 2Mbps or audio and should be throttled to 500kbps or neither and shouldn't be throttled at all?
  6. What if providers don't "work with Sprint to identify respective traffic keys" and just send encrypted data streams? Since the plans are unlimited won't that mean that people just get unlimited full speed video streaming?
  7. I am not a Sprint subscriber and I tried to order a SIM yesterday and today. Both times my order failed with the error "There were errors processing your request. Please verify your information and try again, or call our order support team can assist you at 866-275-1411."
  8. I was on Verizon 1xRTT in a couple of places and used a little bit of data, but in other places where I've been on Verizon 1xRTT I haven't had any data.
  9. From the blog post it sounds like you only get refunded for the extra data you purchase that isn't used. So the new plans seem like they're worse than Sprint's hotspot plans in almost every way.
