  1. I get -114 on B41 in my living room and get 20mb down. If I step outside I get 60mb down. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  2. Most Sprint phones and USCC phones have been identical for a while now. There is no doubt we have something good ahead of us. Both sprint customers and USCC customers. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  3. That is great news! Thanks for posting this link. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  4. That's probably what happened. Now, if it were 3 cents per mb, wouldn't all of you roamers be willing to pay that? That would be 30 dollars for an additional 1gb of roaming data. Sprint and USCC could make some additional revenue and everybody wins. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  5. Yes, you're right. I was going by what the rep told me. He said another 300mb would be 90 dollars but that doesn't equate to 3 cents per kilobyte which is what he said. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  6. So yesterday I called Sprint customer service and asked if they would remove my 300mb roaming data cap since I am going to a USCC area this weekend and Sprint coverage is not good. They said I have already reached my limit and they would remove my limit if that's what I wanted. They warned me that it would be 3 cents for every kilobyte over the 300mb limit. I told them no thanks. That would be 90 dollars for an additional 300mb. Holy cow! Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  7. Just returned home from my annual camping week at Lake Billy Chinook in central Oregon. Service was so much better this year than previous years. The USCC 3G EVDO worked great. I streamed Spotify on the boat until my 300 MB roaming limit was reached. To get it to work I had to set my phone to only use the 850 cell CDMA band in the hidden service menu. The phone kept finding 1x sprint service that was only good for talk and text which was an improvement from last year but still not good enough to listen to Spotify. Sprint LTE even worked great when out of the canyon. I think a single small cell with band 41 wireless backbone and Sprint could be the king of Lake Billy Chinook. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  8. If it was pseudo native then it would not count against your roaming data allotment. However it is not pseudo native. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  9. Okay, I agree with your point about the buyout scenario but they better hope that buyout comes before Verizon steals all their customers. They will have very little leverage if they have very few subs. Their network and spectrum assets will still be worth something I guess. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  10. I see Verizon continuing to expand into USCC territory as they have been doing for years. I see it all over central and southern Oregon. As this continues, Verizon is going to be the new carrier in these small towns and USCC customers are likely to join Verizon for better service in the cities. The only way that USCC will be able to compete is to team up with a Sprint or a T-Mobile who has the LTE in the cities all over the country. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  11. You're not looking at the big picture and maybe the Carlson's aren't either. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  12. I think there is commercial incentive for USCC. USCC has been losing customers to Verizon and AT&T for some time now because people want that nationwide LTE coverage. If USCC and Sprint teamed up to provide pseudo native LTE to each other, USCC customers would have no reason to switch to Verizon. They would be roaming on Sprint LTE when they go to visit their relatives in the big cities. They would have to create a contractual agreement between each other that prevents subscriber swapping but that could easily be done. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  13. I am not complaining, I am making a point. As I said, I am spending 45 dollars for 5gigs of data to use on a one week camping trip and that is not including the initial investment of the nexus 5 and the sim card. Sprint and USCC could team up to take my money but instead they are allowing the duopoly to rake in more cash. Sprint is the best option for me 95 percent of the year but they could very easily and cost effectively make it even better. They want that ARPU to go up and that would be an easy way to do it. If my sprint bill was 50 bucks higher for the month of camping and roaming I would be happy with it. Better than giving my 50 bucks to AT&T for that month. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  14. If that 100 Meg limit is still in place then all I have to say is f*** you Sprint. Either build out your coverage or allow your customers to roam. I would even be willing to pay per mb for the data roaming. He'll, I'm paying 200 dollars for a used Nexus five, 7 dollars for a straight talk sim card, and 45 dollars for 5gigs of straight talk AT&T data. Sprint and USCC could have my money if they would get their heads out of their ass. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk
  15. USCC roaming... Oh my God I am so excited right now. I am leaving for a week of camping at a lake in central Oregon this weekend and USCC works better there than Verizon and almost as good as AT&T. I just bought a used Nexus 5 so I could throw a Straight Talk AT&T sim card in it and use it as a hot spot at the lake. Now I don't need it. Thank you Sprint and USCC!
