I would say this is pretty big as this was a great way for sprint to advertise, but very expensive deal. I wonder who will pick it up.
Wow, that little? I'm truely sorry. I thought it would have been a bit more than that. Thanks for the info. It is interesting some of the inner workings of a store. There were probably 6 employees there at the time and maybe one other customer in the store.
Stopped by a corp store... Even though they show Gear S in stock, they claim not to have any and it's "Direct Ship" They did have a "demo" but it was in a drawer and wasn't charged so couldn't play. Very disappointed.
Their excuse is that it's not supposed to go on display until the 14th. Bummer..
I was actually ready to buy it and possibly a Note 4... so they lost out on a pretty good sale.
Did you go by a 3rd party sprint store or a corporate store? When I looked online, only the corporate stores in my areas were showing as in stock. I driving by one this afternoon and debating on stopping and looking.. If I look... I know I'm going to want to buy one.
The other thing to look at here is if they get rid of the subsidies, there might be better competition from phone manufactures to lower their price points.
In the hardware storage and high end server business, I see this quite a bit with software licensing. Hardware can be sold but the software is a "leased" item and can not be resold. I don't see this going to far, but I could be wrong.
I just pulled the trigger to go to family share and jump the framily plan... hopefully I'll save a few $$ plus adding tethering to all my devices and bigger data pool for my tablets. I think month-to-month usage on all devices is 5 gb.. so shouldn't have any issues staying in the pool
On the other hand. I just screwed my framily... 5 devices left them... YIKES! I hope they pay attention and see this other wise... ish...
