  1. I have not seen a HD Voice icon on my phone since the one time on North Shore. I live and work in downtown Honolulu. My wife has the iPhone 6 and I have the Galaxy S3. I suspect they still haven't rolled out HD Voice completely since it obviously worked one time, but not since.
  2. This may be a bit unrelated... but since iOS 8.3 is getting WIFI calling on Sprint (and free wifi calling when you are in another country, YAY), I decided to check status on my Galaxy SIII. And what do you know, Sprint has a Tutorial on how to activate it... http://support.sprint.com/support/tutorial/Activate_WiFi_calling_Samsung_Galaxy_Sreg_III_16GB/53041-1828 Except... it doesn't work. There is no WIFI Calling application. The tutorial was out in 2014. It's 2015 and I am on the latest firmware, someone must have messed up
  3. Then they definitely turned it on at one town at least one time... since her car was just ahead of my car.
  4. So what is the progress of HD voice. I updated my GSIII to the NJ2 firmware in the beginning of Feb. The very next weekend, on a drive to north shore, I noticed that a call to my wife's iPhone 6 has a new icon (HD Voice) somewhere around Chinaman's hat. According to changelog, NJ2 added this HD Voice icon. But after that intance, none of the calls to my wife's number show up as HD voice anymore. I thought HD voice was supposed to have rolled out nationwide. We have LTE coverage, but it doesn't appear HD Voice is turned on in town. Anyone else notice HD Voice calls?
  5. I second that. Voice is choppy, hard to hear. Not sure what they are doing to the voice side of the network...
  6. I have 1.26 Mbps Down and 3.33 Mbps Up. That's a *lot* better than previous days of 0.76 Mbps Down and 1.03 Mbps up. This is near Kapiolani and Cooke st. I would say the coverage still bad...
  7. Not sure what the status of CSFB/eCSFB here in the rollout. But my wife got an iPhone 6 on Sunday, and is updated to 8.0.2. But when the Phone is on LTE, she often cannot receive calls. I can see it sometimes gets kicked to 1x (from LTE) when I call her, sometimes it rings, but sometimes it still miss the call (not ringing) even on 1x. Since receiving call is very important on a PHONE, I turned off LTE for now. Also, 8.0.2 doesn't seem to have the Personal Hotspot option in Cellular Data menu in the Settings app anymore?
  8. Saw a truck laying down fiber on Alakea and another laying at S. Kukui st.. Couldn't just stop the car and ask... so here's hoping ...
