  1. I just checked and thought wow!!!, it's fixed. Well it did last for about two minutes which was enough for a speed check (see below) then back to 3G. Robert, it's starting to sound like you're right. If you could just get the folks (Sprint tecky's) to acknowledge the problem and maybe do something smart like send everyone with an LTE device a txt that they're activily trying to work out a fix rather than all the mumble jumble when you call in. Here's the speed results, not as fast as my wireless but better than straight 3G. Test Date: Jul 21, 2012 9:29:15 pm Connection Type: Lte Server: Atlanta, GA Download: 6.61 Mbps Upload: 2.05 Mbps Ping: 34 ms External IP: 66.87.103.191 Internal IP: 30.21.99.191 Latitude: 34.16490 Longitude: -84.08721
  2. Thanks for posting the information, it makes more sense than anything the techies at sprint said in the multiple phone calls I made. I was by my local sprint store today that actually trys to help the customers with good customer service but they admit they're hands are tied on this. I gave the team leader this link which is more info than she's been able to get. From someone that's been with Sprint a few years she can't begin to fathom why they're so silent on this. A simple text to all of those that bought 4GLTE phones to acknowledge the issue and that they're working hard to correct it would go miles. She also said the problem is pervasive through their whole LTE phone line. Sometimes (maybe) connect then revert to 3g, sounds exactely like your analysis of the problem. None of the LTE phones are immune.
  3. Like everyone else, my succes with 4GLTE has been spotty. This morning though I was on the actual Sprint forums and found this from a poster " I went to Sprint yesterday. According to them, there's an open ticket for the ATL market; the LTE is on, but not propagating to devices properly. The expected resolution time is today around 1 PM." So if that has any valiltidy we have some hope.
  4. According to the map I'm saturated with 4GLTE signal in Cumming a north Atlanta market. It sometimes has come on but reverts back to 3G in seconds. I've updated my prl multiple times to no effect. It's still not fully baked here in the Atlanta market.
  5. Toggled airplane mode and back. Got a 4g indicator for about two seconds then 3g again . I think that means it's just trying for 4g and failing.
  6. According to Sprint the Atlanta market from up around me and south to your area and east to Athens is switched on but ...... I'm seeing 3G
  7. What is your location? I'm just west of the river and about 3/4 of a mile from the Buford Dam. I called Sprint and they said a tower in Alpharetta was giving issues and probably that was my problem. But I'm still 3G for the moment
  8. After the last upgrade, mine has not been doing this anymore. It wasn't listed as part of the upgrade but ....
  9. Hopefully yours and a tower near me will become 'unblocked' today. At least that's what a Sprint rep on the phone yesterday said was scheduled to happen today.
  10. Hey, I'm pretty near you and near the Lake Lanier Dam in 30341 area code. I heard from a Sprint rep yesterday that they would 'unblock' the Atlanta market starting today but haven't seen anything but 3G so far today. They're always hope . I saw on the map our area is pretty saturated with signal so ...... I still doubt it will match my wireless signal at 12348+ KPS. My 3G signal is pretty fair at 1916 KPS or 1.87mps.

    LTE IS LIVE!

Nothing here in Atlanta market yet. I tried after rebooting and with wi-fi on and off. Just 3G.
