  1. The trouble with the map is that it is too high level and makes it look like their is a lot 4G LTE in certain areas. I live in the Detroit area and I use Sensorly. However, I rarely get 4G LTE. And when I do, it is not usually very fast. What I do notice is that 4G LTE goes in and out on a daily basis and from block to block. For example, there is a restaurant I go to and I get 4G LTE their about 50% of the time. The other 50% I only get 3G. Another example, I never get 4G near my house, but Sensorly shows it up and down my block. In addition, Sprint has not even announced Detroit Metropolitan area yet. So, what I suspect is happening is they are testing and turning on and off 4G at different locations. I did notice the reception at my house became really bad for about 1 week and then recovered. Of course this could just be my phone. I have a Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE. David
  2. I went to the HTC website and there are no complaints about LTE connection on their forum. So I tried to make one. The software kept erasing my text and said I needed to provide text in order to post a message.
  3. I live in Detroit Metropolitan area and the coverage has always been bad (if you include all phone companies). I have had Sprint for 11 years and I hear all my friends complaining about no signal (in particular, inside buildings). However, I almost always have signal. Almost never drop, etc. So I would say Sprint is definitely better in Detroit (from a phone point of view). However, Detroit has been short-shifted for any kind of fast data connection. They never really rolled out WiMax (a few unannounced towars) and their roll out of 4G LTE is later than most other big cities.
  4. They have the Samsung Galaxy III at the same price. They have an option for existing customers, but it thinks you don't have an existing data plan and asks you to pick one. Custco sells the HTC EVO 4G LTE for $189.99, but they through in two cases, a car charger and screen saver. I have not tried the screen saver.
  5. It is to bad Sprint doesn't support you. This would show all of us that they really mean it this time.
  6. I got mine at CostCo online. Got it for $10.00 cheaper than Sprint store plus some extra accessories. I was going to buy it from Amazon, but they would only let me pick upgrading an existing set of lines. David
  7. My local store varies. Sometimes they know stuff. Other times they don't. But, at least they admit when they don't know stuff. The last time I went in they recommended I wait and see the Samsung Galaxy S III.
