Who needs 40meg download speeds when you have a 2GB limit?
No, who *needs* 40 Mbps WWAN data speeds, period?

Verizon markets its LTE networks as having 5-12 Mbps because it knows one day speeds will be congested and actually drop that low. Right now I'd wager the average speeds is much closer to 20-25 Mbps (higher than what they're marketing). I doubt Sprint can say the same once they get a couple users on their network.
Seems that Sprint is being a bit naive.

All that article has said is that the overall customer experience will be the same for the average customer, once NV is up and running.

Not me.
I consider any mud that verizon throws at sprint, whether overtly or indirectly, to be flattery at this point. Anything either of the big 2 say or do in response to sprint is acknowledgement that sprint, in fact, is a competitor

i have 100mbps down with charter cable at my apartment in athens, if it werent so cheap, it would be such a waste... i pay $45 with a bundle. you can never top out the speeds unless its downloading a service pack from microsoft or something.
That is a good deal in your area. I pay about $45 and receive about 10 Mbps down with no bundle.

A carrier who has billions to throw around at marketing
Toss a few billion at "The Carrier that has the FASTEST 4GLTE network"
Toss a few billion at "The Carrier that has the LARGEST 4GLTE network"
Toss a few billion at "The Carrier that has the FASTEST&LARGEST 4GLTE network"
Pointless otherwise.
