Sprint to Guarantee Trades and ETF for T-Mobile Customers

Sprint will guarantee $200 per mobile device trade and up to $350 per line of ETF/Installment payments per line. Shifting towards competing more and more against T-Mobile:

Nice. I like it.  Maybe some T-Mobile customers will realize Sprint actually has a decent network now.

It is pretty good considering TM is doing 10GB of data and Sprint will offer unlimited.  Might as well bring the last competitor into the fight.

If your profile is accurate, you could use your Nexus 5. Possibly even with it having been purchased from T-Mobile now that Sprint is willing to add devices to the white list.

TMO's price for family unl is already lower than sprint.

Sprint matched the price of the T-Mobile unlimited family plan ($100 for 2 lines, then $40/line, up to 10 lines; no NVP discounts) a few weeks ago. This promotion is currently set to expire at the end of the month, but will probably be extended if T-Mobile also continues to offer it.

 

One important difference, however, is that Sprint unfortunately did not match the 5GB of (official) hotspot/tethering per line that T-Mobile includes.

This has been possible to do for a while, but they don't make it easy, and most reps will say it can't be done. You have to convince someone to open a ClickIT ticket, and hope that when you inevitably have to escalate the issue that it finds its way into the hands of the right person or team, much like the process that's required to swap the "ownership code" of a device between wholesale and retail.
