Anyway to know what Sprint tower my iPhone 5 is connected to?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have an iPhone 5, is there any way for me to identify what Sprint tower my phone is currently connected to? I would like to match it up with the NV maps just out of curiosity. I went to the field test and this is what I got. This is what I get inside my house, outside I can barely pick up 4G, which on Sprint's coverage map shows best 4G coverage. :/ I think inside my house I connect to the 3G GMO tower but I would like to verify. I'm sure somewhere in the field test or debug info there is a way to know which tower you're connected to. Also, I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 connected on Sprint, not sure if it's connected to the same tower as my iPhone but maybe it can tell me some information. Thanks.

Try the SignalCheck app.

That is only for android. I am not sure how to see the the tower location on iphone. I thought it was in the 1x field test.

You can't see which tower you are connected to on an iPhone.

You can't "see" which tower you are connected to via iOS Field test. But you can match them up with the Galaxy Tab Enginerring screens.

Within the Samsung Enginerring screens, you can match up System ID, Network ID, and Base Station ID between iOS and Android. Base Station ID is also available with Signal Check on Android.

Wow.. I never knew that. Damn, that's a hell of a workaround!
