Welcome to the User's thread! We have now closed the previous thread as people are ordering and receiving their Aqous devices now. Anyone received one or held one yet?

OK...I have ordered mine. $239 from Sprint online. I'm waiting on tracking info. But it probably will stay put until Monday.

The position of the front facing camera is fine on the bottom and allows the coolness of the screen. Fits fine in the pocket. Good clarity on phone calls.

How's signalcheck and the reported info?

One of the Youtube reviews of the Boost model says he put in a Tmpbile SIM and it worked fine...???

Proven false. Device connects to sprint 3g without sim card.

Oh, so the phone is reading the Tmpobile SIM as nothing at all and just defaulting to Sprint/Boost?

Makes sense.

Phone should be available to unlock for international use right?

Why, exactly, are you getting this? It's not like you have Sprint service.

I use Sprint service when I travel.  And it seemed like a good device to play with, given its very inexpensive cash price.

You keep a Sprint line just for traveling? Wow, that is some dedication.

Well, I do run a Sprint site.  ;)

I used to just use a Ting line.  But I am going to go back with a $60 unlimited plan now with the Aquos.

Has anyone been able to use the phone yet? I told my mom it would be a good phone for her due to its low price. The only real negatives I've heard are camera isn't the best, and call quality isn't great due to the speaker being behind the screen and it can be quiet on both sides of the call. Can anyone verify this?

Good to know. Thanks.

I'm surprised you didn't get a test product. How dare they make you pay for it.

I've played with it and I honestly like it. It is a very nice looking phone.

    • Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.
    • Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.
    • Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
