Which version sprint will get? As far was what, SoC?  It will be the qualcomm processor no doubt.

If it has the Qualcomm 9x35 modem that does 40mhz of CA paired, then it will at least do dual CA but not the 3x20 of later devices.

Is that likely to be included in the official specs once the phone is announced, or otherwise published on the web?  I have a Note 2, I am leaning towards getting a Note 4, but I would like to know that it has carrier aggregation.  I'm somewhat ignorant on the technical details, but I understand that is significant.  With LTE imminent in Denver, I don't want to buy a new phone that has not yet incorporated technology that is here, or right around the corner. TIA for any light on this subject!

the Galaxy Note 4 should have dual channel carrier aggregation at launch for sprints 2.5, band 41 network! It has been said that sprint has been putting more pressure on their OEM's to incorporate carrier aggregation modems for the 4th quarter devices and on so that most handsets will have the ability to use at least two channels 2x20, by mid year next year 2015 network launch. All the details should be available though once the device is officially carrier launched. But my guess as well as most here would say, yes it shall.

I doubt that we'll see Band 4 & 12 in the Note series until the Note 5.

I think Band 12 is a possibility since USCC has had the Note series w/ B12 for awhile now.  Will be interesting though if the Sprint one adds it this year or not.  I am sure they are capable, it will come down to whether or not they had enough time after the announcement from Sprint about the CCA.

I asked about that in another thread and it seemed it was only going to be used in a few areas.

(Not meant towards you, just a hypothetical person)

That's fine. CA will provide benefit to fewer people than the CCA bands. Peak speeds are for bragging, but the rest is for people that want to get stuff done. You don't need CA to use 3x Band 41 channels. Going in the middle of nowhere, though, you may very well need that CCA support.

Have we not seen it come through the FCC yet? That will give you the answer. I would be very surprised if the N4 didn't have support for all of Sprint's LTE bands. If that's the case, I'm obviously not going to "upgrade" to it then.

Probably because that product sheet comes from an Indonesian retailer...

You mean Sprint has no LTE in Jakarta?  Well, that sucks.

;)

Probably better to refer to it as the GN4.  The N4 is the common expression for the Nexus 4.

Probably pretty safe calling it the N4 in the Note 4 thread :) - besides, the Nexus 4 is soooo 2012!

Have two upgrades in September thinking about gn4 and G3?? Not sure if I want to use both or hold on to one for something next year or not? Have to wait until official specs and such are out to decide I guess.

At this time you better wait for 805s and two carrier aggregation devices. Gn4 is most likely one of the first devices.

Yeah, I've been sitting on my upgrade since June to see what the fall would bring.  Thought about the G3, but the Note 4 looks pretty enticing.   Was hoping HTC would have a competitor to the Note 4, but I don't see it in the cards at this point with the lack of leaks (or leaks that indicate first part of next year.)

I'm pretty much in the same boat. September 3rd can't come soon enough! I just hope the Note 4 has a monster battery. My One M7 hasn't been very good to me as of late with its constant battery drainage. It would be nice to not have to carry around a wall charger or portable battery bank wherever I go. For me it's between the G3 and the Note 4. I've never had an iPhone and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon.
