Hello everyone here at s4gru! I just joined yesterday after lurking for around a month. I've been with Sprint for nearly 5 currently and my first cell service was with Sprint back when they were SprintPCS with their older logo when they first started "Sprint vision" with the very first color screen flip phones. Back then if you wanted a camera, it was a separate attachment. I also had t-mobile for about 4 years in between there. I currently have an HTC Evo 3d and previously had a Samsung Moment.

Honestly, I was going to dump Sprint due to wimax never working out and 3g being terrible. I also roam on vzw at my dad's house in IA and at Vero Beach when I visit my mom. It was because of this site that I began learning just how close and how vast Sprint's plan is to improve their network. In the past month, I have noticed my 3g has been more reliable and faster and it gives me hope for better coverage and speed in the future. I wish Sprint was more open with their customers because without this great resource, my wife and I would have been lost to them. There are some really passionate and intelligent people here and I just wanted to say I appreciate y'all and I am happy to join in.

Hi Dave thanks for becoming a member. I'm in Jacksonville Florida. There's a lot of info on this site and because of this I'm going to renew my contract for two more years. Also I see you have an evo 3d hold out until tri band phones are released.

I was going to get a S4 until I learned from this site about tri band lte. Now I am waiting for most likely the LG G2 or Galaxy variant with tri band, but it's not easy waiting to try out lte now. I see lots of people here from Jax. Go Jags, I can't wait to see how we do this season.

Welcome! You can put me in the "from Jax" column as well!

Glad to hear that you've learned a lot from this site, as have I!

Hold-out until the TriBand phones drop and in-the-meantime, enjoy the 1.9ghz PCS LTE, as Sprint continues to roll-out Network Vision updates in our area. We're about 51% finished in the Jax metro area (which includes St. Auggy). Lots of room for improvement. I'm already starting to see my data speeds increase, as NV coverage increases.

I hear ya. There's some places where Wimax is really nice but LTE tops it a lot of the time. However, while LTE 1900 is quite common here, I'd strongly recommend waiting at least another month or 2 for a triband device. Lg is announcing the g2 on August 7th, so we might get a release date from them then.

On the other note, go Jags!
