I'm glad my evo LTE does. I love Svdo and I'll love SVLTE WHEN I GET LTE... with G4

SVDO is a thing of the past. It may have been a result if Sprint requesting the manufacturers to put it in the phones, or the chipset just happened to support it. The last phone to include SVDO was the Samsung Galaxy Victory. All phones since then have only included SVLTE except the iPhone, which can't do either. Cherish your SVDO capable phone while you don't have LTE.

I'm thinking about getting used Phonton for my daughter. How good of a phone is it?  I think I read that the RF is not any good in the forum some where.  Is there anything I need to look out for?

I've not had a Moto phone prior to this one, but others have said the reception is not up to normal Moto standards.  That said, it does better than my previous Samsung Epic 4G (1st gen Galaxy S phone) by a good bit in that regard.  The only place I ever have any issue is sometimes in my building at work, but that has nothing to do with my phone nor Sprint either.  I have to carry a Verizon based flipphone for work and it can get sucked down to 1/3rd or less charge just sitting idle in a normal 8 hour workday in that place sometimes.

i have a question about the phone... hows the service with it in low signal areas

I seem to get a little better signal with my Photon 4G then my wife does with her Photon Q. It (the Q) is not bad but not great.

Voice quality seems fine for me in low signal, but I'd have to qualify by saying that I'm 90% of the time under an NV upgraded tower now at work, and my 'low signal' experience is vastly different now than it was prior to the NV upgrade.  Used to I'd struggle to even keep it charged because of how bad the signal was and how it causes the phone to drain in overdrive trying to search and hang onto a signal.  I can get 2 bars easily now in a building that is notoriously bad for cell signals.   And I should note that this is before 1x800 even has been deployed here yet.

I just got my Photon Q (Preowned) and it will be little bit hot when on LTE (even just sitting there not using it).

Anyway I can have Sprint exchange it?

Ask Sprint at your local store or the chat in sprint.com
