As of January 1st, I am eligible (finally) for my upgrade. I have read and researched exhaustively, and still am on the fence about which device to buy. I have had Samsung Android phones as my last two phones (the Moment, and then the Epic 4G Wimax, otherwise known as the Galaxy S1 on other carriers). On the plus side, I do love many aspects of Android, including the customization options and I've played with Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean phones and the improvements over Gingerbread (which my current phone will obviously be stuck with until hell freezes over) are impressive. Yet I've also played with the iPhone 4S quite a lot (my best friend has had one for some time now) and I love that it doesn't freeze up, hesitate, or have any error messages...and it feels good in the hand, hardware wise), and have owned an iPad for nearly 2 years...so I do like the idea of adding a device to the same ecosystem. Has anyone else upgraded to either of these devices recently, and if so, what are your impressions?

The issue appears to be related to the NAND becoming corrupted and killing off the Galaxy S III’s mainboard, which causes the phone to essentially “brick” itself. http://bgr.com/2012/...failure-262887/

I ran into a project manager for Samsung, he said they were doing work for Sprint in the NorthEast. I told him about the board and suggested he join and he would be a valuable asset. Hopefully he will!!!

Hi I've found the forum very useful, especially because I'm a newbie when it comes to cellular. I don't have my own cell phone. I have a company provided Blackberry 9330 on Sprint. I get very good signal at my work, at home, and at other places I frequent. As I read the forums, I'm learning that there is some variation between frequencies and other cell technologies. This concerns me because I'm looking at getting the new iPhone when it comes out, and I was considering Sprint since my Sprint Blackberry has worked great for me. Should I anticipate that the Sprint iPhone would also have good signal for me or do I really need to test this some other way before I take the plunge and buy? Any help would be appreciated! -

Seems to me that Apple is falling and Samsung is dominating in the new era. Just feel that if Apple succeeds in suing Samsung then Sony will sue Apple for everything that Apple is. ' Childish act of Apple. Apple does not literally mean everything, it is a democratic country and stop bragging about the design. Wish iphone 5 is a bit curvy so Samsung can sue Apple for stealing its design. Honestly, I think lets have a fair competition in the market. Apple is great but I have to admit Samsung is doing whole lot better in the market in recent years. Apple's image is getting torn because of this.... SAD!!!!!!!

I know Sprint is the only carrier where we have (to my knowledge) information about which vendor is handling what part of their network, but I'm curious as to whether Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile have similarly regionalized their next-gen network deployments. For reference, here's who's building out networks for the Big Four, plus C-Spire and MetroPCS (since we now who they're using to roll out LTE): Verizon - Ericsson, AlcaLu, NSN AT&T - Ericsson, AlcaLu Sprint - Ericsson, AlcaLu, Samsung T-Mobile - Ericsson, NSN MetroPCS - Ericsson, Samsung C-Spire - AlcaLu AlcaLu = Alcatel-Lucent NSN = Nokia Siemens Networks ...and yes, Ericsson is really busy rolling out LTE, it seems.

Looks like a mid-range Galaxy device is headed to Sprint called the Galaxy Reverb. Probably has LTE. A pretty unexciting device, seems to have lower specs than even the LG Viper. http://www.theverge.com/2012/7/23/3177890/samsung-galaxy-reverb-sprint-leak

I thought this was the best and funniest thing in a while. Jerimiah Yap – Fourth Estate Cooperative Writer London, United Kingdom (4E) – Samsung is waiting for Apple’s apology. A UK judge ruled that Apple Inc. apologize to Samsung by publishing a notice online and in print informing the public that Samsung did not copy the iPad from Apple. I am currently deciding between the Galaxy Nexus and Evo 4G LTE. I am upgrading from the iPhone 4S to one of these phones. Which phone? Also who ever owns the Galaxy Nexus please list pros and cons of owning the Galaxy Nexus

hey guys i was just wondering because im able to upgrade two weeks before the galaxy nexus comes out if i should get the galaxy nexus or wait a little bit longer and get the htc jet. i really dont mind waiting a little longer for the htc jet but since i really dont know too much about processors and ram and all that stuff i was just wondering if you guys can help me out picking out the better phone. any help or comments would be appreciated thanks

Danny Bullard Sprint 4G Rollout Updates Thursday, March 22, 2012 - 2:45 PM MDT I'm sure you've seen some of the latest leaks of the Galaxy S-III. Some are obviously fake and already proven so, but might this leak be the real deal? The good folks over at PhoneArena received were tipped with a picture of a button-less Samsung device running Google's Ice Cream Sandwich. By looking at the picture, the screen looks big, 4.6" big like some of the latest GS-III rumors have suggested. Another interesting thing is that the Samsung logo has moved underneath the screen. While this shouldn't really mean anything, this makes it different from the rest of the Galaxy S line. PhoneArena suggests this may be the Galaxy B. So only time will tell.
