  1. Its almost time for the next iteration of Samsung's Galaxy Phones! I'm planning on pre-ordering either the S20+ or Ultra. Current Rumors have it going on Pre-order February 11. Let the discussion commence...
  2. S9 S9+ reported into the FCC https://www.droid-life.com/2017/12/28/galaxy-s9-galaxy-s9-show-fcc-already/
  3. hello all i feel i should start a note 9 rumor thread please post rumors and what not here.
  4. Samsung Network Vision equipment are highly distinct and fairly easy to spot compared to the equipment that other vendors are deploying. Sprint is Samsung's first extremely massive American contract (baring Clearwire) so there should be no issues in confusing these equipment for another carrier which happens often with Ericsson NV equipment. 5. Tim YuSprint 4G Rollout UpdatesThursday, August 2, 2018 - 12:01 PM PDT It's been a long time coming for Sprint through many trials and tribulations. Now it's finally here! S4GRU was able to obtain confirmations that Sprint is finally ready and prepared to enable Voice over LTE (VoLTE) for subscribers to manually opt into in select markets across the country this coming September. See list at the bottom. As a refresher here are some of the essential points about VoLTE applicable to Sprint: Calls placed over VoLTE will have the QOS tag unlike the current Calling Plus configuration on numerous Sprint devices Like Calling Plus, VoLTE will have no fallback to the legacy 1x voice network. Calls will drop if the LTE signal drops. The voice codec is AMR-WB which one can experience with Calling Plus calls and matches the other carriers VoLTE setups. At this point and time S4GRU does not have a list of compatible VoLTE devices though we do speculate that any device currently running Calling Plus should be able to tap into that very same IMS core Calling Plus utilizes via true VoLTE. In addition, recent Apple iPhone's seems like a sure bet as some users have already experienced VoLTE in live field tests conducted by Sprint. For the non Sprint branded BYOD devices like Google Pixels or unlocked Moto devices the future is quite murky indeed. 6. by Jeff Foster Sprint 4G Rollout Updates Tuesday, January 31, 2012 - 7:46 PM MST Since last fall, there had been talk of a Samsung Galaxy Nexus launching on American carriers other than Big Red. Sprint has finally announced several weeks ago that it is the another vendor slated for release in the U.S. Suffice to say, many of us out there, especially those adverse to heading to Verizon and paying its premium prices, are excited about the impending release. The good news is that Google could be working on an updated version of the Galaxy Nexus. It has unofficially been dubbed the Galaxy Nexus Plus. There is much anticipation that it will be released before Sprint turns on LTE this summer. It’s not the first time an OEM has refreshed a device and re-released it to the market place, which works to our advantage. It’s rumored that the new Galaxy Nexus will have either a 1.5 or 1.8 GHz Texas Instrument OMAP4670 dual core processor. This would be a significant upgrade from the 1.2 GHz dual core processor found in the current Verizon version. We don’t know anything about official specs, but it’s also rumored to have an 8 MP camera. This is a noteworthy upgrade to the 5 MP shooter on the Verizon model (which has been lauded by many techies). We already know that the Sprint model will come installed with Google Wallet, per previous announcements. Some rumors also point to a beefier battery as well. The phone should have all the other features that’s on the current Galaxy Nexus, so now all we have to do is wait. Source: http://androidandme....era-on-the-way/
  7. So I have had the chance to play around with the Tab 4(Wi-fi) only model, and Like how much smoother it is than the Tab 3 series. Now What are some of your favorite features About the device? Hopefully sprint will announce one with Tri-band support. I will Grab one when they come out if they do! I believe the Tab 4 on Sprint will have Triband, as the Verizon has 3 band LTE support and At&t version have 4 bands I believe. Also if you are looking for a Tab 4 Wifi only version, Check Target out, it has a Cartwheel coupon for 10% off a Tab 4, plus 20% off a Tab 3. And I want to say a coupon off Other Samsung Accessories!
  8. So I am surprised there is not one of these. But I thought it would be nice since I have a question. Has anyone found a way to access "enginerring" screens on this tablet. I used to have a tab 2 on Verizon and could access it then. Any Ideas?
  9. Samsung Telecommunications America 2.5 ghz 8T8R RRH & Antenna Model: RRH-V3 / RRH-B8 The equipment and antennas as posted are unique to Sprint Corporations nationwide 8T8R TDD-LTE deployment and there should absolutely be no mistaking these equipment for anyone elses. This specific setup uses a Samsung 8 Transmit 8 Receive (8T8R) Remote Radio Head (RRH) and a compatible 8T8R 2496-2690 mhz antenna. A Sprint Samsung B41 TDD-LTE (Spark) 8T8R Setup Samsung Network Vision 1.0 + 2.5 Setup NV 1.0 + 2.5 Setup with RADAR filters Close Look View from Back View from Below Special Case "Tri-Band Antenna" Setup Deployed for engineering reasons these sites do not deploy a dedicated 8T8R antenna for 2.5 but instead opts for a three frequency antenna that supports 800 MHz + 1900 MHz and 2500 MHz. Due to size constraints for the antennas they limit the 8T8R RRUs to 4T4R (4 Jumpers from radios to antennas) with the subsequent decrease of maximum capacity (60 MHz vs 120 MHz of 8T8R). 10. A new Samsung tablet certified for Sprint (and others) went through the FCC a few days ago.. Category 6 UE LTE Bands 2-4-5-12-25-26-41 Carrier Aggregation capable for Downlink operations. 2xCA B41 Looks to be one of the bigger flagship tablets (~10" ?) and will be the 11th 2xB41 CA capable device to come to Sprint.
  11. Try to make this as short and simple as possible. I have three devices; 2 of which are on the same plan and the third on a separate plan. The third device is my tab 4 which is picking up SprintB41 site 310120 just great. I get 3 bars downstairs. My other two devices; Galaxy Note 4 & Galaxy Note Edge for some reason will not pick up this tower. I have tried PRL updates, Profile updates, restarted the phones and all I can get them to connect to is a ClearwireB41 site. More background info...all devices have same Sim card as when purchased, tablet stays off 3/4 of the day and my phones are on when I wake up and turn them off at night. No matter where I go inside or out my phones won't connect to the Sprint site. Anybody have any ideas before I call Sprint trying to figure something out? I'm not sure how long the tablet has been able to connect to this site so I'm not sure what to think of it besides agitated that the tablet of all things is connecting. I posted two photos; one of the tablet connected to the Sprint site; second of the Clear wire site my phones connect to. Thanks in advance.
  12. According to Business Insider, Samsung will start selling a S4 LTE-Advanced starting this month. "J.K. Shin, also co-chief executive of the world's biggest technology firm by revenue, said the phone would be sold in South Korea as early as this month." http://www.businessinsider.com/samsung-launching-faster-galaxy-s4-phone-2013-6#ixzz2WTa1dzSe
  13. There is a new Galaxy S4 from Google just announced at I/O today! Coming June 26th for 649.99! But only on AT&T and T-Mobile. No CDMA, just GSM/WCDMA and LTE.
  14. I have a unique problem. Sprint is going to replace my phone because the screen went out. Touch screen still works, just the back-light or whatever won't illuminate the screen, but I have a custom ROM on the phone with a custom recovery. I need to reset my phone because of my personal information mainly, but I'm also concerned that they are going to charge me a ton of money if they find out my phone was running a custom ROM. 1. I'm going to reset my ROM and firmware via KIES, seems to be the easiest way since the screen won't turn on. 2. does KIES reset the binary counter or will it just add another download on to the counter? Either way I have to do this, I'm just looking for a few answers. Ideally my hope is they just scrap the phone and use it for parts, but I don't think that's going to be the case.

  18. I have a question for you all, recently the flagship phones that have been coming out have all been pretty much on par with each other, with the key differentiators really being design, brand, and usability, among other things. I remember about a year ago or so, I used to look at Benchmark scores, and it really did influence what type of phone I was more prone to get. But with the recent phones, notably the ONE and S4 with Sprint, there really isn't a big difference in scores and performance (The S4 gets higher scores), but that doesn't really seem to translate into better performance in real world tests (subjectively). My question is this: Do you look up certain objective facts, such as the benchmark scores, or are you more influence by the your own subjective observations, such as feel of the phone or brand? -Luis (The reason I'm asking is because articles keep pushing scores, and performance, one saying that the S4 isn't better than the iPhone 5, and that they fail to understand why someone would line up to buy the S4)
  19. Got hit with data roaming charges while in Canada. Before I went to Canada recently, on our two GNex phones, I selected the option to disable data roaming. (Unchecked allow data roaming). When in Canada, SMS text messaging is included in my plans and I pay a per minute fee to talk, I use wifi for data. I understand that MMS won't work when data roaming is disabled. While in Canada, the data symbol never showed up unless I was on wifi, the voice signal bars were never blue, they kept grey, which indicated I didn't have a data connection to the Google servers. So, why did I get hit with data roaming charges on both phones? On the previous version of the Android software (4.0 possibly) on these phones, configured them the same way, didn't get any roaming charges. Now its its on version 4.1 (ish), I get hit with charges. Is this a new bug with this version of the OS software?

  21. Hey yall! Figured id do another rom review for the galaxy nexus since i have some spare time on my hands. The rom of the week this time is... (drumroll please).. Team Sourcery`s ROM! FEATURES: Well, i will make it as simple as possible. This rom is built over android`s 4.2.2 base, and definetely makes jelly bean that much more tasty! Of course, all of the features that come stock with 4.2.2 are included on this rom, but there are some more toppings added to flavor things up a bit. Lets take a look at what we got here: *Option to Zipalign APK`S (Allows apps to respond quicker, and run faster) *Developer options is finally back!(seemed to be taken off of the stock software) *GPU Overclock up to 512 Mhz(Usually is much more stable to change. Ive done multiple tests and ive never had a problem with changing that.) *Custom kernel(Overclocking is possible, but you may want to be more careful with doing that as i have had more crashes on my phone, or random reboots if you change the clock speed above 1.2 Ghz. It has to do with the incorrect voltages being used for the higher clock speeds i believe)/ *Tablet Mode(This rom probably has one of the best tablet modes out of any other rom that supports it. The only problem is the signal strength indicator is too small to see once in tablet mode.) JB Sourcery Tools(Allows almost complete control over your phone. From custom themes and lockscreen widgets, to custom kernels, and even custom status bar icons, i find this feature to be one of my personal favorites, but thats just my opinion.) *Trickster MOD kernel settings included(This is the program that controls any modifications that can be made to your system. Includes build.prop tweaking settings, boot images, and with certain kernels, headphone sound boosting options, and high performance sound option.) *Buttery smooth(Probably one of the quickest roms ive ever used before. Doesnt lag, and is suprisingly stable. *Great Battery life(For the best battery life, flash Trinity`s kernel. Most of the clock speeds are undervolted, resulting in less power consumption, but not a noticable difference in the speed of the device. Conclusion: All i have to say is: Give it a shot. Dont forget to back-up your data using clockwordmod recovery(DO NOT USE TITANIUM BACKUP TO RESTORE ANY APPS! THE SYSTEM UID`S ARE MISMATCHED IF YOU RESTORE WITH TITANIUM, RESULTING IN EVERY APP FORCE CLOSING!) Thats all for now. Enjoy the post!
  22. Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to show on March 14th of 2013. I am just wondering how Apple is going to keep up with the competition.... http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57569903-1/samsung-galaxy-s4-the-next-flagship-could-set-sail-march-14/
  23. Well, as i have gotten a galaxy nexus at long last, ive noticed that other sprint phones have been constantly getting better signal than my phone has. For example, when i went to the sprint store, my phone varies from 1-2 bars in the store. When i would go over to any other sprint phones, they would have at least 3-5 bars. And this was more than just one different sprint phone that did it, it was every phone in the store that had a better signal than mine, except for the galaxy nexus at the store. It had the same signal strength as mine did.. Radio issue possibly??

  25. Hey y`all! Recently ive noticed i have been having a new problem with my phone. When the phone is on the charger, everything works fine. It`s when the phone is off the charger that i have problems. Often my phone will say its still charging even when its not even connected to a charger. The screen wakes up from lock mode often due to the device constantly saying its charging/discharging. Its quite irritating to have this issue, due to the fact that im lucky if i get any more than 3 hours of standby because of the screen being turned on by the constant charging/discharging issue. Anyone know what could be the cause of this?
