  1. Updated to 11.2. Now see that the Carrier updated to 31.0.
  2. The past phone was an iPhone 6S+. It is nice but the smaller size will take longer for me to adjust to.
  3. Received my new iPhone X today. Damn, this is going to take time to get use to.
  4. No. Why? Build out places where most people will not go anytime soon, if ever? And if most people think that they might, for example, go to Wyoming, they are gullible and/or stupid. I would rather that Sprint not go "chasing stupid"-- even if that might move the needle in perception. Instead, focus on being the best that Sprint can be in places where most people already are most of the time -- and that largely is within the established footprint AJ I believe AJ made a good point a few weeks ago that would apply for the first half of 2018 with Capex spend. Densify, most definitely. There are macro towers scattered throughout Sprint's native footprint that need upgrades to better the current network. Build out, maybe a little but "chasing stupid" would not be the best course of action in the short term. Maybe in the second half of CY 2018 or CY 2019 will allow Sprint to have a controlled expansion.
  5. Interesting. It reads as Intel will be ready, at the earliest, 2019. It makes me wonder about Apple's ability to incorporate the new chipset by 2019 since they engineer and spec their phones 12 to 24 months out. I would say it would be the fall of 2020 before a 5G iPhone is available.
  6. It is in Murfreesboro. It is close to NW Broad and Memorial. Unfortunately I believe they took the sign down with all of the road construction.
  7. Was your phone able to update? If it did, did it help?
  8. Yes, the iPhone model for Verizon is the same model that Sprint uses. All that is needed is switching the SIM card.
  9. I am not sure. Someone else may know..
  10. There was an update to 30.1 when I updated my 6S+ to iOS 11.1. I was promted as soon as the update for iOS was complete. maybe that will help. PRL is 55064
  11. Congrats. Ordered a new iPhone today from Apple. Currently the expected delivery date is 12/7.
  12. I am not sure what the problem is with the upgrade eligibility. The Sprint app says I am eligible today to upgrade. Maybe changing my plan a couple of weeks ago reset something. I was aware that AutoPay saves five dollars a month but it is something I do not want. To me, it gives a company access to my checking account. With the data breaches that are happening around the world (not with Sprint... yet) and an issue that happened with Sprint a few years ago with the account, I prefer to not relinquish the control.
  13. I am a little frustrated with Sprint today. I tried to order a new iPhone this morning through the Apple Store App and received a message that I needed to cancel a plan change in order to resolve. I called the number and was told that Sprint needed to reconfigure the Unlimitied Freedom plan I changed to a few weeks ago to be able to purchase a new phone. Then the CSR wanted me to move to auto pay (no thanks) and tried several other items that I did not want to move forward with. If I am going to buy a new phone at full price, why in the hell do I need to go through these additional steps. Should I not be able to bring a Sprint compatible phone to activate without any hoops or hassles?
  14. Most places where there are large congregations of people, it is a challenge for the network. If you tired over the weekend, it would be even worse. B41 has been deployed but not sure on 3CA (still on a 6S+). Some areas are much slower due to the population density. Downtown Nashville can very slow due to the growth, addition of new high rise buildings and events. I ran a speedtest in my office this morning and it was ok. On B41, 10.7dn, .78 up.
  15. It depends on where you are around the Nashville area. I see Franklin listed as your location. HWY 96 is hit or miss with the topography. Next to I-65, it is pretty good. The mall slows things down quite a bit. If you are on the west side, well... I would check the maps that are on the site to see where the nearest tower is to your location. I had issues with topography in Mt. Juliet due my home being on the slope of a large hill. I have two 25/26/41 towers within a mile from my home. Check to see if you qualify for a magic box. It helped in my case.
  16. The skyline seems to change every week here. More buildings are scheduled to be constructed. Wish i could tell you more about Opry Mills. I do not frequent that property unless it is a last resort.
