  1. 1GB of RAM is not plenty. I'm tired of having to retype a form because Safari refreshes the page after changing tabs for a moment.
  2. What if I'm on band 41 and that field is blank? My down/up bandwidth are both 20 MHz.
  3. It's an app. Search RootMetrics in the store.
  4. iOS 8.0.2 is out. Someone install it and see if it's safe.
  5. "I am not trying to argue..." == "No offense, but..." It amuses me that people that don't own iPhones care enough to come into this thread.
  6. I regularly get well over 1MB upload on speed tests on my iPhone 6, so thankfully not all Sprint users are affected. Maybe it's a Band 25 bug? I seem to mostly be on Band 41 nowadays.
  7. It's hard to say how many actual people were affected by this. It only happened to brand new iPhone 6 and 6+ users. I was never even prompted to install the update on my 6, so I didn't even know there was an 8.0.1 update until I saw that it was out and had issues. However many it was, it's unfortunate because affected and unaffected users alike are going to think twice before installing 8.0.2 whenever it arrives.
  8. Yeah this is what RootMetrics does. It's not as granular as Sensorly, but it's the best we have for iOS.
  9. So yeah, I'm starting to really like Band 41. This was at Westheimer/Bering in Houston near the Galleria. BTW, if you're new to the iPhone, download RootMetrics from the App Store. It lets you map speed tests similarly to Sensorly on Android.
  10. When I go into Field Test, there are no screens for CDMA1X. I'm currently connected on Band 41 LTE.
  11. 10 million iPhone 6/+'s sold opening weekend. Wow.
  12. Really? I'm already in love with it. 1Password works with it as well.
  13. You are on band 41 Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
  14. Before/After at my place in Houston. Previously I would have pretty crappy LTE and would sometimes drop to 3G while using my iPhone 5: Before on Base 25: After on Base 41:
  15. It's here! Having to do an online chat because the normal activate site wouldn't work because I'm switching away from SERO. Holy cow this thing is a lot bigger than my iPhone 5. Can't imagine what a 6+ looks like in person.
  16. Since it sounds like iCloud restores are taking forever today, I went ahead and got my iPhone 5 started on a back up to my iMac while waiting for UPS to get here.
  17. To be fair, tweetbot on iPad hasn't been updated to iOS 7/8 look for a while.
  18. I had to turn off Swiftkey because it wouldn't work with Tweetbot. I've seen somewhere that you can't use third party keyboards for passwords for security reasons.
  19. Or leave it up while people track their shipments and call it the "Onthebus" thread. [emoji6]
  20. My iPhone is in Houston! Really hope it is delivered in the morning so I can get out of town sooner.
  21. I wish more people realized this. It irks me when I get "oh your camera takes really great pictures" when I use my DSLR. Yes, but you have to know how to use it or it's no better than a cell phone.
  22. So after further testing, answering cellular phone calls from your iPad does not require Bluetooth, but Handoff of apps does require Bluetooth. Having Airplay on is not needed. BTW, If you answer a call on your iPad, you can then go to your iPhone and tap Return to Call and it will finish the call back on your iPhone. I can't wait for Yosemite and for SMS texting from your iPad and Mac. That's going to be really nice.
