  1. Shipping off my iPad Air to Gazelle tomorrow. Getting the iPA2 as soon as their check clears.
  2. Is there a website with the current carrier plans for day-to-day or month-to-month iPad plans you buy on the device without needing any contract? I can't seem to find one that isn't pretty old.
  3. They use different cameras. Notice that the iPA2 can only do 120fps slomo while the iP6 does 240. Also the iPA2 stops down to a ƒ/2.4 aperture while the iP6 goes down to ƒ/2.2.
  4. I wonder what the likelihood is of the iPhone 6+ eventually killing off the iPad mini. Looking at the buying process of the iPA2, it's nice to not have to choose the cell provider anymore. Still not sure if I'll get the wifi-only or the LTE version. Decisions, decisions.
  5. Being able to switch freely among carriers is going to be awesome. I love my Sprint coverage, but right now only AT&T gets coverage at my parents and grandmother's.
  6. If this is true I may get the LTE version. http://engt.co/1rgb06u
  7. Looking at the comparison page, you're right. They should just drop the number thing anyway. Everyone knows there's a new one each year. And I looked more closely at the LTE page and the mini 3 still does not have Spark. Only B25/B26 bands.
  8. Not that it's a surprise, but the iPad Air 2 Cellular model will have Spark: https://www.apple.com/ipad/LTE/ It is a surprise though, that the new iPad mini 3 will not have Spark.
  9. I'm happy they finally updated the mini, though it's too late for me as I ended up finding a good deal on an older iMac instead when I needed a new one earlier this year. Can't believe there still hasn't been an Apple TV update.
  10. For those that want to livestream this event and are on Windows: http://dlvr.it/7CskYl
  11. I'm getting one of the new Airs but need to sell my old one.
  12. lifeproof is now owned by Otterbox. There's your answer.
  13. You can't force it, but make sure you're running the most recent PRL by dialing ##UPDATE# in the dialer.
  14. I did the same thing when I used to have an iPad 2. I got it with Verizon even though I was a T-Mobile person at the time so I could have two carriers.
  15. I only use it for transferring photos from an SD card in a game camera by a deer feeder of ours. Just tested with my wife's iPhone 5 and it doesn't work there either. I could have swore that it worked with the iPhone 5 when it was an older iOS version, but at least it still works with my iPad Air on iOS 8.
  16. Anyone use the Lightning-SDCard adapter? It doesn't seem to work with the iPhone 6, and I could have swore it worked with my 5.
  17. I keep going back and forth on whether to get an iPad Air with LTE or stick with the WiFi only route like last time. $130 for GPS and a few rare times where I'm wifiless just doesn't seem worth it.
  18. http://9to5mac.com/2014/10/08/its-been-way-too-long-apple-sends-out-invites-for-thursday-october-16th-ipad-mac-event/#more-345803 Hoping the rumors are true and it has Touch ID and 2GB RAM.
  19. You can map coverage using RootMetrics. It does speed tests too.
  20. Not really. I assumed from the get-go that Apple Pay would be part of 8.1. Apple usually increments the tenth spot for major feature improvements. Glad SMS continuity is coming soon, though.
  21. Saw the 6+ in an Apple Store for the first time today. Pleased with my 6 purchase. Was surprised that my wife prefers the 6+ over the 6 with her small hands. She has an iPad mini, so if she gets a 6+ one day she can get probably get rid of that.
  22. Any detIls on its features?
