  1. If it doesn't get a WAN green light then it's likely a faulty unit. Get a replacement on that case. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  2. Verizon is / was deploying the Ericsson 5GTF backend systems which is their proprietary 5G pre NR standards setup. The M-mimo equipment on cell towers / light poles are dual mode 5GTF and NR capable. So it's fairly simple for them to just "flip the switch" (simple terms). They had built a completely new standalone system for 5GTF that doesn't really interact with their extensive LTE EPC hence why they can go full stack NR rather than mixed which most carriers will be going with. 3. Typically Antenna size restrictions. I've seen a few of them in socal where they used a 4' midband and a 4' lowband to satisfy regulations. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  4. Only Sprint uses these type of All in one mini macros. You'll predominately find standalone mini macro on macro setups as part of Clearwire site replacements since it's a cheap drop in replacement.
  5. Unfortunately They are currently actively building out a spectrum protection network to meet build it requirements.......... Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  6. Buy it at the price they wanted. The whole calculus has changed since 2018 when Softbank has shown its hand on how desperate they want to offload Sprint. There's many sharks swimming around the bleeding body that is Sprint ready to snap at the right moment which would be post merger failure and devaluation of the Sprint stock pricing and credit rating. 7. Got the PM. Responded with a one request but I''ll be forwarding yours and another individuals S/N and status to the relevant folks to troubleshoot in a bit.
  8. There is no time frame. They're making progress and having it being field tested though. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah just wait some time. Once they scan the airave back in, the systems will remove it from your account. I think it took a few weeks for my returned Gen 2 MBs to be removed from my account. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  10. What you need to do is ask for a RMA kit and they'll send you a Prepaid UPS Label. Toss the unactivated A4/A3 into a box with the prepaid label and they can figure it out at the warehouse when they scan / input the SN into the system. I had the same shenanigans with one of my G3 MBs too and advanced OKC tech support (3194 number) had to resort to deactivating one of the G2s I had and using that active line to activate the new G3. 11. It should be fixed already as it's a major issue that they only were alerted to this morning thanks to my message. I'd recommend resetting / power cycling the unit and waiting at least til tomorrow. If it is still inoperable then PM me with the Serial Number + MAC ID and other relevant info and I can CC you into the chain with the engineer(s). Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  12. The issue you and I had (red led on LTE) was a software configuration bug on Sprints side that has been diagnosed and fixed. My A4 was flashing red LTE with everything else solid green since evening of Saturday. Now its all solid green with 1x + LTE actively transmitting. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  13. It's considered a macro site FWIW. Looks like heavy site design restrictions for that area! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  14. That is correct. Those are 3 mini macros feeding old clearwire sector antennas with the old Clearwire cabinet. Inside the clear cabinet it's pretty much just power and a cisco router / switch.

  16. GPS cable is rolled up approximately 30' long. The slot is on the right of the unit facing forward which is quite an awkward spot since you have this cable just coming out from the side. Much prefer it on the back. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  17. You should be ae continue to troubleshoot with yours as it's typically not deactivated until Sprint receives it back at the warehouse. I'm experiencing the same issue as well. It worked for about a day and then everything is green except LTE which is flashing red. From the user manual, this means the unit has established ipsec tunnels to both LTE and Cdma cores, have Wan outside access, have GPS lock, broadcasting cdma (confirmed), and is attempting to bring up the LTE signal. 18. Looking at your local Sprint cell sites and identifying the 2.5 radios or M-mimo units is always a good bet. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  19. That would be the CDMA side and the LTE side with the corresponding MAC + IP addresses. Also I finally got one after 2.5 weeks of trying... The A4 is almost perfectly half the width of a MB! https://imgur.com/a/9W9e4eC
  20. You have to do a hard reset of the unit using the reset push pin next to ethernet port. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk https://imgur.com/YXdTwP2
  21. Just plug it in and it should work. Unless you have some high security business / enterprise level router / firewall solution, you will not likely need to adjust settings. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  22. Sprint chat support or calling in to the 7310 / 3194 numbers.
  23. It is not. The A4 connects to different Airspan servers versus the MB. Verified with packet captures on both. It also does not need it's own dedicated channel separate from macro cells like the MB. For the Voice Amp Pro it "technically is" as that's a parasite CDMA module to the MB. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  24. It's a relative of the Magic Box. Airspan manufacturers both with the Magic Box being part of the Airunity line that is primarily being a high powered LTE ue relay fed small cell. The Airave 4 is part of Airspan Femto Cell line which uses wired backhaul. sprint custom requested a CDMA solution as well that Airspan has available in the A4 unit or as a standalone Voice Amp Pro which is in essence an airave 4 minus the LTE guts.
