  1. Yeah, being able to see the separate bands (even though really doesn't make too much of a difference) would be cool to see, if it is not too difficult to implement.
  2. Otherwise, even if they have proper backhaul, they may have to tune the tower with the other lte towers in the area. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  3. More than likely, they are waiting for a backhaul to the internet. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  4. What do you mean "the mall". What mall and where?
  5. The way I look at that is that means that the majority of the people on AT&T don't really care about their network, or are the people who use their mobile phone for calls only, and not for data usage. One thing I love about Sprint is the community. Just look at this forums, its full of Sprint users who actually care about their network and are working together, without any payment or otherwise besides donations As far as I am aware, no other provider has a forums like this dedicated to how their network is being enhanced (at least not one powered by the community and not provided by the provider themselves).
  6. I can confirm that work is being done. I stopped by and it appeared to have NV panels and RRUs on the tower, but no LTE. I'll get pics of it too.
  7. Nice. It's great to see work actually finishing in this area. Now they just have to get the highway 36 and Rice St tower done, and the one over by the police station. I'll still stop by the 35E/694 tower to check it out and add more sensorly data. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  8. 2 edits (mobile, so can't edit the post). First off, I meant to say 694, not 494. Second, sensorly shows excellent signal at the 694/35E junction. Maybe that tower went live. Will definitely check it out tomorrow (bringing my good camera this time). Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  9. I stopped by the police station antenna, no nv equipment yet (don't know the site is off top of head). I'll stop by the tower by the 35E/494 intersection tomorrow and see what's going on. Were those the towers you were referring to? Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  10. I just downloaded the entire ~240mb update in under 2 minutes on 4G. Took longer to install than it took to download. Any idea on when they may turn on the HD voice on the network? My dad has an HTC One as well, and I would like to see how much better it sounds.
  11. My understanding of tilt is it is how they allign the antennas to the ground. The more downtilt (antennas aimed more downwards at the ground), the better the coverage in the immediate area of the tower, and the shorter the overall range of that antenna. This is what digiblur was talking about when he said a tower can cover as small as a city block or as large as 10 miles. How they arrange the antennas is part of that, and how much tilt they have also affects that.
  12. Plus, terrain and buildings will affect the signal strength. There is no one answer to the question. Your best bet is to wait for the tower to go live and test it out on your own (see how far its signal goes or if it gets to where you want it).
  13. Good to know. Thanks! Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  14. I don't roam often, so I'm not too worried. But, I do use a LOT of data (this month alone is over 3gb of useage already). So my fear is if I do roam, I will very quickly eat up the 300mb limit. Also, is this 300mb limit per device or per plan. I'm on a family plan with 4 other devices, do all 5 devices share one 300mb limit, or does each device have it's own 300mb limit? I'm not too worried about the minutes. I hardly use them. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
  15. So, how does this affect old plans (over 5 years old). Back then, I don't think they had these limits on roaming (300mb data and 800 minutes or 1/3 total plan minutes). Will these new limits apply to us old plan users, or are those limits just for new plans? Also, there may be a limit on my current plan, and I just don't know about it. If so, feel free to tell me.
