  1. FYI Sprint has FINALLY released Android Lollipop 5.1 along with Stagefright plus other enhancements on 8 December 2015. I was up late at night downloading and installing due to the file size. Afterwards as always I did a hard reset to manufacture specifications to purge the systems and start fresh. It's been fantastic and way way long overdue. * Have at it and enjoy it
  2. In regards not being able to go back to subsidy once the lease or easy pay option if selected is inaccurate and erroneous information. Subsidy, EasyPay and lease are nothing more than financial programs not part of the plan the customer is on. This entails the programs have a similar contractual agreement across the line which is once you've met the financial commitment then you're released from that. That also entails that your options of subsidy, EasyPay and lease will continue to be available as a financial program as to which to upgrade future devices. Unless this has changed and there is a link to Sprint website quoting this then it stands.
  3. Unlocking a phone vs a MSL code are entirely two different scenarios with entirely two different conditions or and requirements.
  4. View, got it. Yes in data menu ##data# View & Edit are the options available Without the MSL code the access to the edit will not be possible and Sprint are the ones with that information. I don't really know if there are any restrictions in regards to gaining access to that information when it comes to the status of the finance options in regards to the device. That's a new one for me.
  5. Are you looking in the menu through view or edit. The reason I'm asking is because I was told even though it shows enabled, if you view it through edit it will tell you whether it's on or off vs enabled (view). I found that to be true when I was looking through it under view it said enabled but when I looked through it under edit it showed off. ○ you'll need the devices MSL code to look under edit
  6. New owner of the Galaxy Note 5 as of end of August 2015. My first tri-band smartphone and phablet. I've Always wanted one and finally got it and really loving everything about it. Good news, band 41, 2xCA activated this weekend 21 November 2015. I was finally able to break the 74Mbps threshold I've been limited to since band 41 was active the beginning of 2015. Location: Johnson County, TX Thank you Sprint, I'm one happy camper.
  7. Band 41, 2xCA was activated this weekend in my area. Johnson county, TX Sweeeet!!!
  8. No. I was responding to jamesbond007 in regards to the G4 not having received the Stagefright Patch. The G2 is currently on Version ZVH ( Stagefright Patch). ●Thus far nothing officially pushed out on ZVI nor any information leading to what it is.
  9. The last update to the LG G4 is Version LS991ZV6 which is INDEED the StageFright Patch! Although uncertain as to why Sprint's web sight update doesn't reflect that it was released OTA 16 Sep 2015. One of my other lines is a G4 and when it was activated on the 26 of October the update showed up as the StageFright patch plus other enhancements & updates. See Pic and refer to the link.... Ps. After the update the notification status bar icons went stock Android and the spark logo went away. http://www.theandroidsoul.com/build-ls991zv6-update-for-sprint-lg-g4-fixes-stagefright-bug-enhances-ui-and-updates-apps-84148/
  10. Ah, I did a quick scan and must have overlooked it.
  11. FYI.....just saying Definitely heart and soul of net neutrality. .http://www.theverge.com/2015/11/10/9706296/t-mobile-binge-on-streaming-net-neutrality-problem-john-legere
  12. Could this be Wi-Fi calling.... Could this be Android OS update, 5.1.1 Inquiring minds want to know!
  13. Thanks it worked even on Edge browser ( I don't have IE anymore) .
  14. The Stagefright update has already been pushed with ZVH. http://support.sprint.com/support/article/Find-and-update-the-software-version-on-your-LG-G2/WServiceAdvisory_542_GKB55011-dvc7780001prd#!/
  15. Also my local Sprint third party store offered me the LG G4 for lease with 0 down an 0 taxes + $100 mail in rebate I believe for $18 a month and with the loyalty Credit ( legacy customers ) I get an additional $15 monthly making it $3 a month.
  16. I went through Best Buy as well to do my upgrade on subsidy two year contract. I upgraded to the Note 5 the month it first came out which was August and it was $249 on contract and received a $200 Best Buy gift card with a trade in smartphone. $50 plus tax out of pocket. Best deal ever!
  17. If only that will trickle down to the state farm insurance customers. That would be great because I'm covered by State Farm.
  18. I see. Currently my employer gives a discount of 15% and the Federal Credit Union I use gives a 10% but the offset on that is the activation fee or upgrade fee is waived with the Federal Credit Union. I was simply curious on who gives the 25% discount. That's really good!
  19. That's great! Btw how does one go by in getting a corporate discount 25%
  20. I knew you were going to say that. I know someone on the same plan and it only allows upgrades through the carrier. I understand the discounts and pricing are better vs a regular plan.
  21. Amazon and BB has always worked for me with promos on subsidy. Sprint as of late no bueno on subsidy sales but Lease & Easy Pay are good. For example leasing a G4 is $0 down and no taxes upfront and $18 monthly then loyalty credit of $15 monthly i can lease the G4 for only $3 a month. Best Sprint can do for Legacy Customers.
