  1. Another possibility is to divide up NSA and SA with one getting 100MHz and the other getting 80MHz or the remainder. Some people on Reddit have reported seeing this. I may have seen it, but did not test it well enough to comment yet.
  2. Wonder how they will handle greater than 100Mhz in rural areas? They could do LTE CA, but considering most of the phones are 5g this likely makes little sense.
  3. Now we have our timeliness which is as expected: "over the next few days, covering nearly 60 million customers". The other 20 million customers will happen as they build out towers.
  4. B26 is data only on two sites here in Ohio. Calls will hangup on first ring.
  5. In Zanesville OH, With 50Mhz n41, gave me 45/30 yesterday outside the courthouse. They should now have 138.5 contiguous n41 now, which should make a significant difference.
  6. Iirc T-Mobile is supposed to try to sell it first. I think IOT would be a good use case. The question with trying to replace b71 LTE is how many phones can support it?
  7. Bankruptcy could take years. Many painful years. Now is the time to surrender to a white knight while it can still be saved. Dish basically seems paralyzed. Plenty of rational ways to improve cash flow. Start with Ergen not being the CEO.
  8. Hunting auction 108 spectrum. S24 ultra 80mhz n41 nsa but only showing as nr on scp. sent in diags. Edits: Picking up 100mhz on a32 and it is showing in scp. S24 ultra shows 100mhz when verizon sim turned off and appears correctly in SCP. May have caught the changeover but will double check later. Edit 2: Redditors on auction 108 hunts have reported 100Mhz as NSA, 80 MHz as SA (second channel)
  9. 7156 licenses for T-Mobile (all that T-Mobile won). They are not yet geographically searchable, thus you would need to read through each one to find those that interest you (or get lucky). Not announced yet as a release for auction 108. For an overview plus map see: https://s4gru.com/entry/442-t-mobile-goes-deeper-wider-in-25ghz-holdings-fcc-auction-108-results-and-impact/ As for those who say T-Mobile won in the regulatory ruling earlier this week, my view differs from most. While T-Mobile finally gets its licenses, it will not have the same impact as two years ago. The duo is spreading c-band far and wide. Two years ago high speed 5g and home internet would have been revolutionary. Today it is an also ran in many areas. T-Mobile will still have impact, just not as much. For that reason, AT&T won. Perhaps T-Mobile can remove some of the tarnish off its uncarrier reputation with a defeating the death star commercial touting its new rural coverage with high speed internet.
  10. I checked some counties for T-Mobile auction 108 licenses and the licenses have not been granted yet. I expect it will take a few days or longer.
  11. No sign yet of n77 or mmWave (T-Mobile has like 800Mhz iirc). The mmWave has a deadline coming up soon iirc. My guess is they will put it at busy interstate intersections.
  12. What I see in Columbus is n41 (100), n25 (15x15), n41 (80). Lte only is 66 (20x20), 71 (5x5) 2 (20x20) or 66(20x20) 2 (20x20) 66 (5x5). So 12(5x5) is reserved for voice. 26 (5×5) is available for just desperation data from one site in two counties. 41 (10) is unused.
  13. TWO MAJOR SOLAR FLARES; EFFECTS ON CELLULAR NETWORKS UNLIKELY published: Thursday, February 22, 2024 19:30 UTC The Sun emitted two strong solar flares (both R3 on the NOAA Space Weather Scales), the first one peaking at 6:07 p.m. EST on Feb. 21, 2024, and the second peaking at 1:32 a.m. EST on Feb. 22, 2024. While solar flares can affect communication systems, radar, and the Global Positioning System, based on the intensity of the eruption and associated phenomena, it is highly unlikely that these flares contributed to the widely reported cellular network outages. NOAA and SWPC will continue to monitor the solar and near-Earth space environment for potential impacts to critical infrastructure and essential services.
  14. From AT&T on Twitter at 8:27pm yesterday: "Based on our initial review, we believe the outage was caused by the application & execution of an incorrect process used as we were expanding our network, not a cyber attack. We are continuing our assessment to ensure we keep delivering the service that our customers deserve." Stand alone 5g is the leading theory, their new security service is another. At 6pm they had posted their outage work was complete.
  15. Just got the February 1 patch for camera, screen vividness, and security. 677.39MB for my factory unlocked ultra.
  16. I just got the February 1 security update for the S21 Ultra factory unlocked. The S21 is expected to get One UI 6.1 by July to be like the S24 minus the AI features. Android 15 is expected after that. https://themobilehunt.com/galaxy-s21-series-one-ui-6-1-update-tracker/

  18. Service just restored in Columbus Ohio on AT&T network. They seemed to do it in the following order: business (done early) then 5g hours later then ADSL and 4g about 4 hours after business. Then texting and wifi calling that was not setup before. At one point they were trying to route calls on T-Mobile 2g, but that failed.
  19. Wi-fi 6e missing (6 GHz on one of two ultras). Perhaps coming from an app? Wifi analyzer can see the 6ghz, just can't see them to connect. May try wifi reset, although communications reset could have been the source of this problem. Others have reported it, so not an isolated issue. Edit: Fixed: Rebooted into safe mode. Wifi 6e worked. Normal boot back. No wifi 6e in available nerworks. Unistalled Asus Router app. Checked for Wifi 6e being visible in wifi available networks. Nothing. Deleted Netgear Genie app. Then saw networks. of mine I had not connected to in wifi available networks. Forgot the desired 2.4&5&6 SSID that did not show 6E. Connected to it again. 6e now works.
  20. Should trade it for some low-band there or elsewhere. AT&T dominates lowband.
  21. Two sims update: When the primary carrier loses its connection, the last connection continues to be displayed. The time shows the last connect time and the IP address is no longer displayed. The second sim information is also displayed, correctly (without the IP address). Can create at will. S24 Ultra but other models likely. On factory unlocked firmware. Diagnostics sent.
