  1. I've heard a few markets that 71 got downgraded so I assume the temp dish agreement expired. Was also looking forward to seeing more N41 sites especially with 60mhz worth of spectrum, but alas have seen very little movement in bringing more N41 sites online and have yet to see any sites with over 40mhz.
  2. Man, that was the only really nice thing in some areas around me having 10x10 N71. Now my N71 speeds went from 20-30mbs, to 3-6mbs.. This merger has been a total bummer so far.
  3. The highest speed I've been able to achieve on N261 with a strong signal is around 400mbs. Assuming 100mhz even on 2x2 should be able hit well over 800mbs. Definitely not related to network traffic since barely anyone was in the street. Buddies Verizon phone on mmwave typically hits 500mbs during day and 1gb+ late night with same device.
  4. Nice find. but yes, pretty much what Ive found when connected to N261, I'm assuming it's a backhaul limitation. The whole mmwave deployment from T-Mobile definitely seemed like a stopgap solution to keep V and ATT at Bay marketing wise. Also, I wonder what happened to that 60mhz N41 site Milan found. Seems all sites I've found are 40mhz.
  5. Finally connected to some N41 in midtown (28th st indoors). Speeds were between 200mbs and 300mbs still using 40mhz of N41+B2+B71 Funny enough ground level is N261, speeds were similar to N41.
  6. Those devices will default to TMobile (which of course means N71/N41 for 5G)at home first then roam on Sprint where Tmobile isn't available.
  7. I thought about this, and it would make sense to have these default to T-Mobile as home first then roam on Sprint when necessary. This coincides nicely with T-Mobile's announcement of adding another million Sprint users to T-Mobile's network as default.
  8. One plus 8 https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/cell-phones/oneplus-8-5g.html?ensembleId=OPIN2017SLV&credit=A2&contractName=0-yr-lb-18months&deviceQuantity=1 V60 https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/cell-phones/lg-v60-thinq-5g-dual-screen.html?ensembleId=LGV600DSKIT&credit=A2
  9. Most n41 have been moved to TMobile, so not blocked, just non-existent.
  10. Yes indeed, it resolved my issue.
  11. Btw new update is out! With security finally updated! Also, camera improvements, autofocus is much better now, on top of that, a couple of tweaks within the camera app. Very nice update.
  12. Anybody know how to force Wifi calling on gs20? Looks like TMobile prioritizes VoLTE and quality is terrible in my area. Man, I don't know if I could wait for TMobile to get their act together here. Miss Sprint big-time. 😑
  13. Great site density, alot of spectrum online and very well optimized. Tmobile is quite a bit worse in the places I normally visit.
  14. Well see how this plays out, but to be honest with you Sprint was probably one of the best option(s) here in NY.
  15. I hear you. It's unimpressive to say the least. Also the fact that Sprint had such a solid deployment here in NY does not help TMobile's case. The thing that scares me the most is what will happen once everybody heads back to work in the city. TMobile's hodgepodge spectrum deployment is messy and super inconsistent. I was hitting 2mb-100mbs with very few folks walking the streets. And n71 was very sparse. I will give them till the end of the summer, if they don't show real improvement I will just switch to ATT.
  16. Well, TMobile N41 is indeed live! Seems deployment is thin, I connected to two sites in lower east side. I kept bouncing between n261 and N41, definitely a look into what's in store for the future of TMobile.. Aside from that, n41 from this site(s) were 40mhz, B41 was still 3xCA in the area with same EARFCN as expected. Here are some screen caps.. https://imgur.com/gallery/YgVZIqa
  17. I will head downtown to see if I have any luck connecting to this.. Spectacular speeds! And 60mhz n41 which is awesome.
  18. My connection is now slower in general, also for some reason, B71 went from 20 to 15Mhz making a iffy situation, worse. I will wait a couple of months to see if they finally bring n41 online, if nothing happens before the end of the summer I will probably switch to ATT since a lot of spots I used to see great speeds are now super inconsistent.
  19. We never got to see non-contiguous 2.5 CA, so it would be nice to see them deploy that now to maximize spectrum use and minimize impact on current Sprint b41 users.
  20. The issue with N71 is that it's deployed for capacity and not coverage, which kinda makes sense since there is quite a bit of density in general. But it's somewhat of a double edged sword since you end up giving up the potential coverage of 600mhz.
  21. Went up to Westchester and Bedford NY, totally surprised. In parts of Westchester, phone would drop signal then eventually would Roam on Sprint(took forever to finally make the switch) then in Bedford NY it was worse! No signal on either carrier. Another thing I gotta say, VoLTE is definitely less reliable than Sprint, sometimes it just freeze after initiating a call and others just go blank mid-call. At first I was thinking maybe it's proxy issue going thru Sprint but I noticed it on other TMobile direct phones in similar spots. Was really hoping TMobile would at least fill in some of Sprint's weak spots around my way, but so far, my experience has been subpar. Btw, Happy mother's day!
