  1. I've been told that because uscc owns the C block and at&t and Sprint split the B block here it makes it difficult to deploy a 2nd carrier without severe cannibalism of 3G and 1x blocks. It's possible they did that, but I wouldn't know what to look for.
  2. I wonder as other carriers kill off their 2G networks, Sprint is getting access to those carriers 3G Network by default, hence the increase in speed. Another option is not all carriers bother to throttle roaming customers. Sprint really has very little control over the experience on other carrier's networks.
  3. Verizon has done major equipment replacement work on their network. So I'm sure it's not difficult anymore for Verizon.
  4. Mine did as well. I thought that was curious.
  5. Try turning on enhanced messaging in your stock app. It will also revolutionise how it works.
  6. Why not just switch to open world and get 1GB of 3G data for 30$?
  7. I think 3x3 LTE is what they're doing in the smr spectrum.
  8. This. I have noticed this on my galaxy note 5. When I had a Nexus 5, I never had the simultaneous 1x & LTE monitoring feature and texts send quickly. Texts do send slower in the areas where my Note 5 is monitoring both networks, however.
  9. I always run signal check in the background, with high accuracy mode on. The battery indicator shows SCP at 24-26% usage. My Nexus 5 it would always be a couple %.
  10. Two more from the center point and 32nd St tower (different tower than the first screens). Is the second carrier actually going live? How can Sprint free up enough spectrum for this to happen here? The more I look at it unless I'm missing something, I think it might be a glitch report.
  11. How do you get to the engineering screens on this phone?
  12. So this just appeared in Cedar Rapids. I'll try to get engineering screens (I don't remember the code for Samsung phones) if I see it again. It's not supposed to be possible here, so further investigation will be needed.
  13. It will also help retain customers since most of the carrier's switch offers require you to turn in your old phone, which you're not supposed do with a leased device.
  14. Looks like the second carrier is going live. In Charleston, WV.
  15. What happens is Power Save now cuts out background data. So it might be identifying Pandora as background data. Probably an issue Pandora will have to fix to bring in line with the feature.
  16. Wait, I still get that warning, though only the first time i turn up the volume after a restart. Did you disable it somehow?
  17. It's where the phone drops Wi-Fi throughput when inactive for a few minutes and the connection has to be reset to get connectivity back.
