On the new update, can someone test this for me? Set Location to GPS Only for a few hours & then check Battery Usage for Android System. Is the GPS constantly on for almost as long as GPS was turned on or was GPS active for just a few seconds or minutes?

Really wish I hadn't taken through PD3 update. Battery life was twice as good before.

Same here. PB5 was the best for battery life. I don't think the May update will fix it either. I'd love to be proven wrong.

In the meanwhile, I've been decreasing my standby drain through an app called ForceDoze. I can now get > 6 hrs of SOT with everything on except sync.

What messaging app is that?

Edit: Nvm it's whatsapp. I knew that.

Lookie here! All 3 factory firmwares!

I have successfully downgraded to PC5 myself, but can't get the PB5 to work, I always get a bootloop.

The uploader says he has successfully downgraded from PD3 to PB5 (sans bootloader) soooo your mileage may vary.

But at any rate, pretty cool.

Rokform about to release their locking mount / magnetic mount case for the s7 edge.

Great setup on my bike.

Still prefer the Speck Candy Shell for daily carry where I don't need a mount option.

The update seems like another good one. My phone's been off the charger for 13 hrs & 19 mins and I'm at 40%battery left with 3 hrs 19 mins SOT.

Got the notification for update APF2 just now. Going to run it now and see what happens.

This is my first Samsung device. I was a bit worried about their history of updates, but I'm impressed. A timely update each month. This is my first Samsung device, but it may not be my last.

Anyone else still having issues with WiFi calling enabled and receiving/making HD calls? I just experienced my first ever HD call on this phone by deactivating WiFi calling, but I want both :(

    • Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.
    • Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.
    • Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
