Well I just popped open my 5X to transplant the motherboard into a new housing and it turns out that LG didn't screw my midframe back into place when they were repairing the bootloop thing. 10 empty screw holes. :/

I don't roam on At&t. I just have both services and switch out sim cards when I'm driving out to the farm. No native Sprint service on the highway and data roaming on Verizon doesn't work, which is why I switch SIM cards as needed.

But it is my understanding that Nexus/Pixel phones on Sprint can now roam on LTE.

FYI for those interested.. I was in Kentucky last week, and roamed on a couple of different ATT LTE bands with my 5X while I was there. I'll have to check my screen shots, and hopefully SCP logs to confirm, but I think it was bands 2 and 17. Edit: looks like 2 and 25.. didn't realize they had LTE on band 25.. also found Bluegrass Cellular band 12.

B25 is a superset of B2, the only difference I believe being B25 adds the PCS G block. I think SCP just identifies it based on earfcn or gci, so it's likely a bug. Unless ATT started advertising their B2 as B25.

Here are the SCP screenshots for the LTE roaming I found. 1680017e23949344197458d25daa4be4.jpg0bc814483351e8f452ac5c6834b9815d.jpg3b54d741569066aad33656da38b9e685.jpg

Hmm the B25 one must be stale data, since it's using the G block. Sprint has that nationwide.

My refurbished 5X stopped working last week (11/16/2017) after having it for about 13 mouths and the first 5X only lasted about 11 mouths and 2 weeks just before the one year warranty expired. So I now have the Pixel 2(HTC).

    • Was able to install the March 1 Android security patch. Seems slightly more accurate with 5g ca band id, but can not swear by it. Updated google play system update through the software information screen to March 1. *#73# still works. Froze updates waiting on SCP update beta to fix n41 showing as n38.
    • Just installed it. Thanks for the info.  71 mb mar 1st date.
    • There's a permit for a new 47 story building at 205 Montague St in Downtown Brooklyn. The problem is that  T-Mobile eNB 48352 is on the building next door and this new building will block two out of 3 sectors of the site. For reference, the new building will be roughly as tall as 16 Court St which is right across the street. This site is the primary site covering Cadman Plaza so I wonder what the plan is. Will they just try to change sector placement, move to a different building, or will this just speed up the conversion of the Sprint site at 25 Monroe Place?
    • At least not recently.  I think I might have seen this a year ago.  Not Sure.
    • Did they previously hop between n38 and n41 in prior version of SCP, or have you always seen n41 displayed properly?
