changing lte sim card # on Iphone5 ???

quick question, sprint currently has the wrong sim card number for my iphone5.  i have had no issues except for the fact that when in an LTE zone i cant connect, i dont get any error or problems it just doesnt connect.  im going to goto sprint.com/manage my device/change sim card.. question is should my phone be on or off when i do this, does it matter?

shouldnt matter. Might have to do a restart though.
