I want to know more....Is it going to be from Motorola or will it be Samsung....Is it going to be the biggest screen or just a run of the mill size (4.8-5)...will it be a heavy hitter on specs or is the manufacturer going middle of the road (save on costs) and the pure Andriod experience....DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING (lol)....

After seeing the apple keynote for iOS 7, i would like to see some improvements to Google Now in terms of being able to "turn off/on bluetooth" or "read my last voicemail." I think more improvements to project butter and RAM usage will hopefully help with battery life. I would like to see an anti-theft mechanism similar to what apple has in iOS 7.

If Google can optimize their os to the level of ios, Apple would be hurting even more. Apple's iPhone 5, with a 1440 mAh battery is on par in the battery department as Android devices running 2000+. I'm thinking it's a lot harder to achieve on android because of all of the third party skins android comes with. (sense, touch wiz, blur, etc.)

I am not asking for Android to be optimize to the level of iOS especially since the hardware is not being designed by Google.  I think it would be very hard to emulate what Apple is doing but that doesn't mean that Android can't improve on power optimization with the latest Linux kernel.  It has been one of the ongoing issues with Android from the beginning and making strides every year will help it more. I want better battery life for me and not for more market share.  Android has enough market share in the mobile space.

I also disagree that a better battery life will hurt Apple sales even more.  People like Apple and iOS because of its simplicity, ecosystem and integration with other apps.  I don't see Apple's market share going down especially with the improvements to iOS 7 that brings a lot of Android features.

Just FYI, Android will never be as efficient "pound for pound" as iOS due to its apps being interpreted/Just-in-Time compiled (from Froyo on) vs. Apple's (and I believe Windows Phone's) compilation. They can get close though, skins or no skins.

If Samsung is smart they'll use this as leverage during the appeal process and/or counter apple for patent infringement..who is copying who now?..<G>

If the next Nexus were a Motorola with high end specs (like the LG N4) and LTE all for the same 349 we see the N4 at I would snap it up in a heartbeat! (and it would be THE Android I've been wanting for years) Even if it's another LG I'll probably still go after it drooling.

After experiencing Android the first time through Touchwiz and then just recently going back to iOS I think I'll stick with iOS and stock Android/Nexus devices from now on.

For naming it Kit Kat?

As far as I know, that is a trademarked name.  Google is really scraping the bottom of the barrel if it cannot come up with further generic sweet/desert names.

    • Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
    • At some point over the weekend, T-Mobile bumped the Omaha metro from 100+40 to 100+90 of n41! That's a pretty large increase from what we had just a few weeks ago when we were sitting at 80+40Mhz. Out of curiosity, tested a site on my way to work and pulled 1.4Gpbs. That's the fastest I've ever gotten on T-Mobile! For those that know Omaha, this was on Dodge street in Midtown so not exactly a quiet area!
    • Did you mean a different site? eNB ID 112039 has been around for years. Streetview even has it with C-band back in 2022 - https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7303042,-73.9610924,3a,24.1y,18.03h,109.66t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1s2ossx06yU56AYOzREdcK-g!2e0!5s20220201T000000!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3D2ossx06yU56AYOzREdcK-g%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.share%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26yaw%3D18.027734930682684%26pitch%3D-19.664180274382204%26thumbfov%3D90!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu Meanwhile, Verizon's eNB 84484 in Fort Greene has been updated to include C-band and CBRS, but not mmWave. I've seen this a few times now on updated Verizon sites where it's just the CBRS antenna on its own, not in a shroud and without mmWave. Odd.
    • Drove out into the country today.  Dish stuck to my phone like glue. At least -120 rsrp. Likely only good for phone calls (should have tested.) It then switched to T-Mobile. Getting back on Dish was another issue. I am used to dragging out coverage so I expected a few miles, but had to drive at least 10 miles towards a Dish site. Airplane mode, which worked for Sprint, did nothing. Rebooting did nothing. Finally got it to change over about 2 miles from the site by manually setting the carrier to Dish then it had great reception. Sprint used to have a 15 minute timeout but I did not have the patience today.  Previously I did a speed test on Dish out in the country at the edge of Dish coverage. My speeds were 2g variety. Dish has really overclocked some of these sites. Seen rssp readings in the 50s. Would have called them boomer sites with Sprint but much  more common with Dish.
