LTE IS LIVE!

I looked at my EVO 4G LTE phone this afternoon and noticed it went to 4G...and has been on for over 3 hours now. 3Meg Down and 2 Meg up last speed check I did.

Can you check your LTE signal strength? You will need to go into Settings > About Device > Status to be certain you are getting the signal strength for LTE. If you try an app, they will likely give you the 1x strength.

Mobile Network: LTE

Signal Strength RSRP(dBm): -112 RSRQ(db): -9

I am running Klink right now as I type this.

Not too shabby with such a weak signal.

This is out here in Olathe, KS at Black Bob Park! :D I noticed 4g popped up for a second, and then went away. So I kept rebooting my phone until it finally stuck! (About 7 reboots)

I'm not sure what other info to post but here is what not roam control and Netmonitor say as well:

And here is what my phone status says:

I got 4g today for a few mins a couple blocks north of the power and light district. the speed was terrible but hopefully it was because I was in a building( did not get signal strength) . post-2831-0-92956500-1342046234_thumb.png

I live in KC North off Parvin and Brighton... which location were you getting LTE?

This is exciting news!

I guess Sprint was just waiting for the EVO OTA update after all :)

I think I have a post around here somewhere that says something to the fact of, 'I believe there will be an EVO LTE OTA, then miraculously LTE will start going live.'

At least one, heh.

Great call - spot on!

I wonder if its safe to say these towers are open for real this time and not that they will be on and off until the 15th.

Also, I wonder if towers are coming on in all the other markets

We have not had the widespread reports from other markets like we have heard from KC today.

Have not been able to connect 4G from home, so went to the location where I had previously connected 4G ( 135st and Neiman). I connected 4G after toggling to CDMA and back to LTE. I tried to do a speed test, but it would not complete.

There is more work to be done in this area... :)

I was in Atlanta today but did not notice any lte. Of course I had not downloaded the evo update either. Wish I had known.

Nope...no "consistent" LTE but I did notice that after running the OTA update on my GS3...my 3G speeds did jump way up. I usually get 700 - 800k down on average...after the update I started getting 2 - 2.2 megs down. I wonder if these are the enhanced 3G speeds sprint was referring to...

This is the result I got while in the Sprint Campus earlier today:

This one I got while shopping at Aldi on 145th and Antioch:

mbrReproductionLTE_Test1.png

Actually that's not bad at all. For comparison, here in NYC on AT&T with my galaxy Note I get

- download-, -- upload--, -ping-

17441 kbps, 5743 kbps, 69 ms,

13894 kbps, 2223 kbps, 79 ms,

15256 kbps, 5486 kbps, 78 ms,

So I like what I see with Sprint's LTE. Awesome. Can't wait for it to get here.

Thanks for posting guys.
