It's definitely a network issue. Those type of speeds happen on some B41 sites around here as well. This one happened last night where I usually get 80+ Mbps. 2.5 GHz being overloaded is very rare.

I have seen a few permits for St Johns cty for a Sprint 2.5 lately. About the same rate as T-Mobiles B12 permits.

Looks like Sprint has been installing band 41 to a couple sites lately. I saw a few sites that I know for sure is 8t8r. Theres a few more I saw from a distance. When I'm in the area again I'll get closer to see. Hopefully Sprint gets more 2.5 rolled out. There's a major dropoff in speeds going from band 41 to band 25 or 26.

Unfortunately Sprint discontinued RingPlus support so I'm not able to monitor network upgrades on the field at the moment but I am still keeping a close eye on the permits. It looks like once the permit shows up, the upgrade usually takes place within 1 month after the permit is posted/approved.

We will see. Their speeds are the only part of the network that needs to be addressed in Jax.

There also need to be some fill in sites. There's places around town where I drop to 3G outdoors. I haven't seen that happen on my AT&T or T-Mobile lines.

whenever they decide to add small cells, that could work.

So many permits coming up from all carriers lately. It looks like the site behind Walmart on Phillips Highway is underway an upgrade again (last time it was for Verizon) and only Sprint/VZW is on that site. Maybe they are finally upgrading the Clearwire panels to B41 there? One can hope.

I know this is our Jacksonville thread for Sprint but..... The T-Mobile site that is co-located with Sprint that services my home. Has been upgraded with band 12 gear. It's less than 1 week since install and the equipment is live and on air. Turning my home from a T-Mobile dead zone. Into getting anywhere from -110db to 118db band 12 signal. It's crazy how fast TMobile gets their sites on air versus Sprint. I've spotted several new band 41 installs here in Jax that's still not on air but this brand new T-Mobile install is.

no i mean its at the top of your notification shade. Does the field test menu put it there?

Yes field test puts it there. It goes away when you close the app. There's a way to get it to stay too. I forgot how to do it.

oh yeah T-Mobile moves at light speed with upgrades. Maybe Sprint and T-Mobile should switch names.

Sprint coverage map updated today. I'm seeing a significant boost in LTE plus signal on the map. Anyone able to confirm if there's a large amount of B41 added?

Sprint has installed some 8t8r equipment around town. The 2 sites that I know near me isn't broadcasting signal yet.

Found 4 new 8t8r GCI in my logs not sure if tybo31316 have found them already though. 1 in the center of Jacksonville and the others to the southwest while on I295. I already know what sites they go to but this is the public side of the site.

Yes I've found a couple. Most of them are now active. I recently switched to an iPhone so I don't have Signal Check Pro anymore.
