Ladies and gentlemen, C Spire has left the building. In Memphis. Or so it seems.
Based on an FCC spectrum lease filing that came down the pike earlier this week, Cellular South dba C Spire has applied to lease all of its spectrum in Memphis to Sprint. S4GRU has not been able to confirm yet, but this almost certainly appears to signal a C Spire exit from Memphis -- its large

Many Sprint customers are all too familiar with personal at-home femtocells called "Airaves." These plug and play devices connect to your home router and use your internet service to provide extended 1x Voice and 3G EVDO data services in your home. These are great for folks who live at the edge of service or live in subterranean homes. Or like many here in New Mexico, people that live in adobe.

In the latest news from Sprint, they have added another nine additional communities that they anticipate having at least a prelaunch amount of service available to use by its LTE customers in the next few months. Based on a source, these are expected to have usable service by the end of January, barring any unforseen conditions.
What's exciting in this list, is it includes not only areas
Normally the licenses with the overlapping geographic service areas "split the football" by straight line of the intersection area of the two radius circle areas for just the shared frequencies. However private deals between the parties are also possible, and have been encouraged by the FCC in some situations when the service areas overlap by more than 50%.
