LG V20 for aural pleasure. 2nd screen is useful. Maybe Sprint will throw another promo on them.

S8 for a lot of everything which sadly includes the worst placed fingerprint sensor ever. And you have decided if you like the shiny, glass edges.

Check out the G6 too.

What might make the difference on these in what specials they are offering.

I got the S7 edge because it was the only phone they had available at the store that I wanted and I'm glad to come back to Sprint cheaper service and their coverage has improved on my block someone can't wait to see the rest of the rest of the improvement

I actually played with one in Best Buy yesterday, and it's a pretty easy reach. I didn't accidentally hit the camera or anything. I even found my finger resting very near the scanner when I wasn't trying to reach it.

Doesn't the S8 have the new band 41 technology

This kinda implies it does have it on b41.

"The news comes after Sprint launched two tests for gigabit-level speeds, recently reaching download speeds of 400 to 600 Mbps on its own network during a National Basketball Association Game.

The three main "ingredients" for these speeds will be included in the Galaxy S8: 4x4 MIMO, which uses multiple antennas to boost capacity; three-channel carrier aggregation, which allows Sprint to tap into multiple bands of spectrum for better speeds; and 256 QAM, which allows devices to transmit more information."

They didn't use the Galaxy s8 but Motorola device for a reason.

You kinda also gave to declare 4x4 mimo in FCC filings and they declared it only for b2/4/25/66.

His post meant that the S8 does not have 4x4 MIMO on B41.

The S8 does have support for 4x4 MIMO on B25.

Thank you for the clarification and answer...i am thinking of getting the s8 next week

    • The March Play System Update that PythonFan referred to in the S24 thread is also out for S22
    • Has anyone checked Verizon n77 in areas with more than 100MHZ active? This spectrum has been fully available since August of last year.  Of course they are not typically using SA.
    • I updated my other s21 ultra factory unlocked to the latest firmware... It behaves like the S24 Ultra n38 or n41 depending on 80 or 100MHz or their nr- arfcn.
    • I see everything correct. The two ARFCN's you mentioned earlier and they idenitify as n-41.  using 4.832b SCP. Only using one TM SIM.
    • I posted this in the Nebraska Premier thread last week, but just wanted to share in this thread the progress that T-Mobile has made in filling in the great coverage gap known as Nebraska. Between late last year and this year, they have added 28 new expansion sites filling in the coverage hole, plus 11 Sprint site conversions in eastern Nebraska and far western Iowa. Notably, in the last month n41 coverage was added on over a dozen expansion sites in western Nebraska that were added to the network last year. For comparison, here is the very first map that I created in October of 2022 after we noted expansion sites outside of Sprint conversion in Lincoln and Omaha. It doesn't show any western parts of the state, but just know there was nothing besides roaming coverage and a little B12 coverage leaking down from South Dakota to the west of Valentine, NE.
