HD Sprint Coverage Maps

Recommended Posts

With Sprint maps you need to zoom in to the best and fair levels. At the zoomed out levels it shows the combined of all signals, which is greatly inaccurate. Zoomed in and looking at Best coverage actually produces pretty accurate signal coverage to expect. I have been pretty impressed in most areas how accurate the Best coverage is.

You'll like what I'm working on now then.  ;)

I have NOT.  In my area, in some of their "best" LTE coverage, I still drop down to 3G, even when I'm outside.  I think they should drop some of it down to "fair" LTE coverage.

http://srv.so/CoverageMaps/sprint/index.php here you guys go. It's not all that pretty but it works. :)

Not working for me on chrome, it's only producing a 420 x 315 image. :(

I noticed Sprint holds the first set of spark/turbo images in these directories:

http://coverage.sprint.com/MapTile/SparkDataMap/Tiles/spark_data/14/

http://coverage.sprint.com/MapTile/OverlayMap/Tiles/Overlay/14/

This is way beyond me, but maybe you would know. Is there a way to download (all?) files from the directory, even if you don't know the file names?

Yeah I noticed that. They switched to Google maps and open layers. It's just a tiled map. I can bring it outside of Sprint's website, I have to look around a little more first.

I noticed some missing 3G like in Washington state. Also it seems as though there is more conservative 3G coverage in some areas. One of the more noticeable areas was I-10 and I-8 by the Arizona/California border. Both had what looked like contiguous highway coverage but now are small circles with a little bit of roaming in between.

Replacing colors in Photoshop.

I wanna do sonething similar for TMO: they have 4 separate maps that they give to their mvnos: 2g, 3G, 4g, lte.

I want to basically do "lte map minus 4g map" to see where the GMO lte is.

Added a Clearwire Map for archival purposes. I wish I had more time to stitch together a higher resolution map, but at least it's something.

That is important archival work.  Thank you.
