I feel like in this instance that the "Non-Corporate Sprint Store" Is screwing themselves if they're telling people the closest tower is 35 minutes away.... :blink:

Yeah a bit, I had to go to a corporate store to swap to sprint anyways. Its alright though I've been passing out s4gru as the place to get info to everyone I meet/know who has or is wanting to possibly get Sprint. I even got a couple to go buy 4 n5's from the play store instead of Galaxy s4's that time I was In there. They needed the RF performance :P(were in a rural area so its a godsend in a lot of places).

Actually no, we switched right after the new year(got a phone to test signal on the 31st and officially swapped on the 2nd). So we just missed out on the whole framily push. Kinda sad because it'd save us some money (we have two people with unlimited plans and one who has no data at all).

Yes, I wouldn't reject a windfall payout from Sprint execs.  But they haven't given us a dime, unless it was incognito and not exceeded the cost of a Premier Sponsorship.  We have never to date received any single donation larger than $100, ever.

Who knows...with out a link or official release, all we can do is speculate... :wacko:

 

In my mind, when execs start selling stocks en masse, it's because there is a big shake up planned/foreseen or the stock is perceived to be at a high with no prospects to go higher in the near future.  But I am no market guru.

Those Cheap......you know whos.....lol....S4GRU Provides more/better info than any Sprint "Script Jockey" can provide....oh well....We live an we learn....especially here at S4GRU! :D

If they need to get the info (as an Executive) from here, then there is really a problem...

Both are possibilities. I would lean toward the latter. I certainly don't see the value of Sprint's stock rising in the near term.

Also, it depends on the amount they are divesting. Most executives recieve stock grants as part of their compensation, and thus can accumulate quite a pile of company stock if they don't periodically sell some of it to balance out their portfolio. I would only be concerned if they are divesting a significant share of their holdings (over 10%). To me that would mean they expect the stock won't be seeing any upside in the near future. If it's only a small percentage, then it's probably routine rebalancing.

I see this point...but to have 7 all do it at once as reported...thats something to turn heads about...IMHO

I've seen this with other companies - the stock has vested and now they are free to sell. I don't think this is bad news, just an opportunity to sell at today's prices and maybe diversify their investments with stocks from other sectors.

      Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.

      At some point over the weekend, T-Mobile bumped the Omaha metro from 100+40 to 100+90 of n41! That's a pretty large increase from what we had just a few weeks ago when we were sitting at 80+40Mhz. Out of curiosity, tested a site on my way to work and pulled 1.4Gpbs. That's the fastest I've ever gotten on T-Mobile! For those that know Omaha, this was on Dodge street in Midtown so not exactly a quiet area!

      Drove out into the country today.  Dish stuck to my phone like glue. At least -120 rsrp. Likely only good for phone calls (should have tested.) It then switched to T-Mobile. Getting back on Dish was another issue. I am used to dragging out coverage so I expected a few miles, but had to drive at least 10 miles towards a Dish site. Airplane mode, which worked for Sprint, did nothing. Rebooting did nothing. Finally got it to change over about 2 miles from the site by manually setting the carrier to Dish then it had great reception. Sprint used to have a 15 minute timeout but I did not have the patience today.  Previously I did a speed test on Dish out in the country at the edge of Dish coverage. My speeds were 2g variety. Dish has really overclocked some of these sites. Seen rssp readings in the 50s. Would have called them boomer sites with Sprint but much  more common with Dish.
