Is there anyway I can donate besides PayPal? It's just way too complicated to set up..

PayPal is the only way to donate. And if I am correct, when you click on the PayPal donate button you can donate through PayPal using a credit card without actually setting up an account.

I tried & It said ' the card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number ' even though I have a valid Wells Fargo account with money in it >:|

Oh please let me know when possible! :D

OK so no 4g yet. But the strange thing was I could not get no 3g at all. Only 1x. An another strange thing was that the signal was way better than it use too...and I mean significantly. I'm talking -52 all the to my house on 24th st and 4th ave and that is highly unusual. I wonder if 800 has gone active or if its the new panel?

Oh and another thing was I could not get into my engineering screen to see what its connected too. You dial*#*#3282#*#* correct?

I haven't seen the slightest hint of an 800MHz RRU being installed in this market, so I'm willing to bet pretty strongly against that.

Anything new?

I've got nothing really. Just the usual off and on 3g and 1x and then sometimes roaming.

Small update, sprint only has 3 more towers within the city of Yuma to upgrade equipment on, they are currently working on Ave B and 20 street. Equipment arrived yesterday morning and today the techs were there starting on their work. Qwest along side laying more orange pipe. Its looking good here for complete city coverage.

So Yuma only needs 3 more towers for LTE meanwhile I'm not sure how many tucson needs.. That sucks!

Well compare the size of tucson with yuma. Yuma only has about 18 or so towers for the entire market.

Also the 3 towers is to just cover the city of Yuma not Somerton, San Luis, and county which they are part of the Tucson/Yuma market.

So far so good. Im sure the network switching between 1x and 3g has something to do with them working on the sites. All i know is that when this network is done, its gonna be great. I can already tell!!!  :)  :)  :)

On the network enhancement map, it shows that there are 40 Sprint towers in tucson.

so you can see the difference, about double the towers. Also if you look at the completed maps, Tucson has had more 3G acceptance than Yuma.

    • Unable to confirm if it's really off but I noticed this morning that I'm no longer connecting to Band 41 on my home site. Switching my phone to LTE-only pretty much always put me on Band 41 since it was the least used band on T-Mobile's network. Now I'm only able to connect to Band 2/66. Not complaining because it means speeds are faster on LTE and maybe 150MHz n41 is around the corner.

    • Definite usage quirks in hunting down these sites with a rainbow sim in a s24 ultra. Fell into a hole yesterday so sent off to T-Mobile purgatory. Try my various techniques. No Dish. Get within binocular range of former Sprint colocation and can see Dish equipment. Try to manually set network and everybody but no Dish is listed.  Airplane mode, restart, turn on and off sim, still no Dish. Pull upto 200ft from site straight on with antenna.  Still no Dish. Get to manual network hunting again on phone, power off phone for two minutes. Finally see Dish in manual network selection and choose it. Great signal as expected. I still think the 15 minute rule might work but lack patience. (With Sprint years ago, while roaming on AT&T, the phone would check for Sprint about every fifteen minutes. So at highway speed you could get to about the third Sprint site before roaming would end). Using both cellmapper and signalcheck.net maps to hunt down these sites. Cellmapper response is almost immediate these days (was taking weeks many months ago).  Their idea of where a site can be is often many miles apart. Of course not the same dataset. Also different ideas as how to label a site, but sector details can match with enough data (mimo makes this hard with its many sectors). Dish was using county spacing in a flat suburban area, but is now denser in a hilly richer suburban area.  Likely density of customers makes no difference as a poorer urban area with likely more Dish customers still has country spacing of sites.
    • Mike if you need more Dish data, I have been hunting down sites in western Columbus.  So far just n70 and n71 reporting although I CA all three.
