Network Vision/LTE - Albuquerque market (including El Paso, Las Cruces, Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Roswell)

Commnet used to be just 1x around the state and counted as roaming. Now it is shown as a mix of "3G" and LTE and counted as on network. So when up in Taos County, you'll be on Commnet LTE counted as native. I would have loved that when I lived there.

With this sudden explosion of 2nd carrier b25, b41, CA, upgraded GMO's, and LTE/3G partners that have all happened in the past month, I am really curious to see how Albuquerque and NM is going to do in the 2H2017 rootmetrics review. Usually we're tested in February and August

Sprint should score better , but more b41 sites need to go live for sprint to rank higher

I disagree. When you are outside of the condensed population centers (uptown, downtown, Jefferson area), speeds were quite fine. I would experience speeds 10 to 20 mbps.  With additional band 25 to the already band 25 and 26, speeds have really gone up.  I found that there testing was somewhat skewed as they wanted to know how at the airport and other places.  Those places that had poor performance have band 25 CA and Band 41 (w or w/o CA).

Rootmetrics does testing indoor and outdoor as well as all over Albuquerque .. I think they will score better , but ranking higher will be tough

Not sure about the accuracy. Drove up to Ruidoso last week and I went to 1X as soon at I left Alamogordo.. Didn't get 3G until I got to Ruidoso.. Will be nice when I can have coverage all the way though..

How was service in Ruidoso overall .. any improvements or all just 3G

I picked up LTE at the Albertson Market place off of Meechem. Speed test was not the greatest but give them time. Rest of the town is still 3G.

Best speeds I've gotten at Isotopes Park. It was packed tonight too. f9c01eeebfb7cf162881d3d9a4b81a38.jpg

I decided to check the uptown site to see what speeds look like in the middle of the night. Looks like 3rd carrier is live here. 3xCA? d31440cd1744a8110530905d18a00430.jpg

when you go under the field test click on connected mode LTE intra frequency then look down at E-ARFCN if it has a 1 next to it that 2xca if it has a 2 that's 3xca.

With those speeds, 3CA is active.  Wow. 200mbps.

Not necessarily.

Configuration 2 is live in yours and several other regions for TDD LTE. This setup has speeds of 112.5/9 mbps so 2xCA can actually reach that speed level.

Considering 1am, and I hit 209 max that sounds like I probably was only on 2xCA. 3rd carrier however was active there.

    • Good catch! I meant 115932/119932. Edited my original post I've noticed the same thing lately and have just assumed that they're skipping it now because they're finally able to deploy mmWave small cells.
    • At some point over the weekend, T-Mobile bumped the Omaha metro from 100+40 to 100+90 of n41! That's a pretty large increase from what we had just a few weeks ago when we were sitting at 80+40Mhz. Out of curiosity, tested a site on my way to work and pulled 1.4Gpbs. That's the fastest I've ever gotten on T-Mobile! For those that know Omaha, this was on Dodge street in Midtown so not exactly a quiet area!
    • Did you mean a different site? eNB ID 112039 has been around for years. Streetview even has it with C-band back in 2022 - https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7303042,-73.9610924,3a,24.1y,18.03h,109.66t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1s2ossx06yU56AYOzREdcK-g!2e0!5s20220201T000000!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3D2ossx06yU56AYOzREdcK-g%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.share%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26yaw%3D18.027734930682684%26pitch%3D-19.664180274382204%26thumbfov%3D90!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu Meanwhile, Verizon's eNB 84484 in Fort Greene has been updated to include C-band and CBRS, but not mmWave. I've seen this a few times now on updated Verizon sites where it's just the CBRS antenna on its own, not in a shroud and without mmWave. Odd.
