That's interesting. Out of curiosity, why is VZW broadcasting B25 LTE via MFBI?

Unsure - but it’s definitely live. B2 shows up about as often as B25.

I did not realize that other carriers used so much 5x5.  B26 is not as out of place as I thought, even at 3x3.

Yes, but AT&T and Verizon have 5x5 lowband on top of 10x10 lowband, often aggregated together, providing effectively a 15x10 or 15x5 pipe. And T-Mobile’s 5x5 B12 is old news...

Here's a quick summary of the competitive landscape post spectrum swaps in the greater Seattle area:

AT&T:
- 10x10 B12/17
- 5 MHz B29
- 5x5 B5
- 20x20 B2
- 10x10 B30

Verizon:
- 10x10 B13
- 5x5 B5
- 20x20 B4
- 10x10 B2/25 (MFBI is live across the market)

Sprint:
- 3x3 B26
- 10x10 (soon to be 15x15) B25
- 60MHz B41

T-Mobile:
- 5x5 B12
- 20x20 B4
-10x10 B2

Any pics of signal check with VZW showing that?

It's on the Doubletree Hotel roof, just south of Southcenter Mall.  I found that site a few weeks ago.  It's shown on the B26 update map.  Thanks for the report. :tu:

The tower that serves my old store... it’s all grown up now

Noticed something interesting as I opened up Field Test while driving through Seattle last night - there are 7 B41 carriers live throughout the city.

I saw EARFCNS 40072, 40270, 40582, 40780, 40978, 41176 and 41374.

Before I had only seen 40978, 41176 and 41374.

More investigation is definitely needed...

That means small cells. Small cells broadcast different EARCFN numbers than macros do.

Small cells in Seattle broadcast on 40072 and 40270. The thing is, I’ve also encountered macros that broadcast on those frequencies...so I definitely need to investigate a little more.

Yeah there are 2 sets of 2 contiguous carriers below the 3 contiguous macro carriers. So some could be fiber fed small cells (otherwise they'd be limited to 1 carrier), or they're starting deployment of 4th and 5th carriers on macros.

We need someone with SCP and earfcn logging to see what shows up.

You're probably seeing just different sites using different contiguous carriers. It's the same thing in SLC. Part of the metro uses B41H while other parts of it uses B41L.

I have several sites here that operate B41L while the vast majority operates B41H.

I have been seeing B26 up in Lynnwood for the past week or so. Glad they're finally making it closer to the border.

Is that 3x3 or 5x5?

It will all be 3x3 in Western Washington.  I am working on an internal map based on some source info I have seen recently.

An internal map? What do you mean?

Won't say here.  But you will see it in the Honored Premier.  ;)

Ok, so driving through Seattle again today, I was able to confirm that several 8T8R sites are broadcasting EARFCNs: 40072, 40270, 40978, 41176, 41374. Thats 5 carriers with a possible (but unconfirmed) 6th at 39874 (as I have seen that EARFCN in Seattle before).

Maybe 8T8Rs are now broadcasting 6 carriers and small cells are using EARFCNs 40582 and 40780?

What are the GCI of the cells?

If it's 4/5/6 then it'll be sequential 0C/0D/0E and onwards.

Small cells (Airspan) will be 01 and then 04(?).

I didn't grab Field Test screenshots yesterday but I'll try to go back later this week and do so.

Here are a few Field Test screenshots from the 8T8R that’s broadcasting 6 carriers. I’ll head back tomorrow to grab more.

Nice. That's the 4th carriers based on GCI indicators of 0C and 0E but the 40270 with GCI of 08 is a bit weird.

Usually 00-02 is 1st, 03-05 is 2nd, and 06-08 is third for an 8t8r three carrier chain. Interesting.. Try and grab more of the GCIs if you can.

Will do today. I was driving past the site at 60 mph in a car so that’s all I was able to grab last time.

Where are you grabbing them? I work downtown and I can try to grab some if you'd like.

The site I’ve been getting screenshots from is at the Montlake Blvd NE exit off 520.

There are a few other sites in downtown Seattle that are broadcasting six carriers.

So I recently saw what I believe to be a new tower. I'm not sure who's on it yet but maybe someone else knows? It is on the corner of NE 45th St and 7th Ave NE in Seattle. You can see it from I-5. I'll try to get a picture of it this week.
